The Timothée Chalamet and Dev Patel look-alike contests have spawned another one: the Zayn Malik look-alike contest. The event took place on November 17 at the Maria Hernandez Park in Brooklyn, New York, and fans from all over the city stormed in, clad in quintessential Zayn haircuts and outfits.

In videos circulating online, several men can be seen sporting shaggy haircuts and facial hair, black leather jackets, and black pants. The videos have since drawn varied reactions, with many jesting that there is no one like Zayn. Here's what one user asked:

"Okay guys cmon who lied to y’all."

Several others concurred, while others chipped in with their own opinions:

"And not even a single person looks like him lol," one person stated.
"No one and I mean absolutely no one can mimic that man’s beauty," another opined.
"I can already tell it’s a mess," yet another claimed.
"Someone who doesn't look like him will win," someone declared.

However, some users had other things to say as well:

"How do I get to New York in 10 minutes from San Diego," one user jokingly asked.
"Nobody can match Zayn’s vibe, but these contestants are absolutely adorable," another chimed in.
"Zayn Malik is unique and we can't have lookalike for him he is built different," another contended.
"nobody's going to compare to Zayn hahahaha," someone else opined.

However, several online called on others to "leave Zayn Malik" and the other former One Direction members alone, as they recently lost their friend and former bandmate, Liam Payne.

The winner of the Zayn Malik look-alike contest is...

According to West Virginia News, Shiv Patel bagged the title of winner in the Zayn Malik look-alike competition. However, it remains unclear if he was given a cash prize as well. Check out the clip of him being awarded below:

Notably, just three weeks ago, Manhattan played host to a Timothée Chalamet look-alike contest. The event saw hundreds of fans storming in from all over, culminating in police intervention and at least one arrest, according to the BBC.

Several doppelgängers showed up, all of whom had curly hair and slim and tall figures. The men showed up in costumes from some of his notable movies, including Wonka and Dune.

At one point, the Oscar-nominated actor himself showed up for a quick meet and greet with his wannabes. With bodyguards hovering around him, he was spotted taking selfies and conversing with those in attendance. Per Variety, he passed unnoticed in the crowds under the guise of a mask and a baseball hat when he photobombed two look-alikes' selfies.

However, after a brief appearance, he left. YouTuber Anthony Po organized the event and offered a $50 invite to the winner. According to the BBC, Miles Mitchell, 21, from Staten Island, won the competition that day. He sported a Willy Wonka outfit and hurled candy at the onlookers from his briefcase when he won.
