Singer Ciara Princess Harris shared a special message to Normani and her fiance DK Metcalf, after setting the two up, three years ago. Normani and Metcalf are engaged and announced their engagement on March 13.
Ciara and her husband, former Steelers QB Russell Wilson, introduced the two in 2022. Harris took to TikTok, sharing a screenshot of the four on a video call where Normani can be seen showing off her ring. In the caption, the singer mentioned,
"Russell Wilson and I knew when we introed yall 3 years ago...love was truly in the air! Now yall gon be booed up for forever! This was the best news! We love y'all so much."
Normani commented on the post saying,
"WE LOVE YOU BOTH SOOOO MUCH"
During a recent press conference for the Pittsburgh Steelers on March 13, DK Metcalf revealed that he proposed to the singer.
"I proposed to my fiancee and (former teammate Russell Wilson) was the one who connected us. So he was just telling me congratulations, giving us congratulations on that."
He urged the singer to flaunt her ring saying,
"She's right there. Hold that rock up baby."
How did Ciara and Russell Wilson set up Normani with DK Metcalf
During an interview with Apple Music with Ebro, in June 2024, Normani recalled the time when she first met her fiance DK Metcalf.
Normani and Metcalf met at one of Ciara's parties three years ago, when Ciara urged Normani to attend while Wilson did the same to Metcalf.
"They was playing cupid, but it worked. If you could trust a couple (to set you up), that would be the couple."
The two were first spotted together in 2022, at Giorgi Baldi in Santa Monica, and the singer confirmed the relationship in July 2023, by posting a picture of Metcalf kissing her cheek.
While speaking to reporters during a recent press conference for the Pittsburgh Steelers on March 13, Metcalf said that both their families were present for their engagement,
"My family and her family was in Houston. It was my sister's Spring Break and just thought about getting the whole family together for a big kumbaya and joining our families with the ring."

The player added that he had been thinking of proposing for a while and noted that he tried to propose last year, but Normani's work "kind of conflicted with the schedule."
The player proposed by sending the singer flowers with a story, and added a last letter on the flower which read, "Will you marry me?" to which she said yes.
