T.I. has drawn the ire of the internet over his reaction to being denied entry at a restaurant in Austin for being unable to produce his ID. In a video circulating on X, the rapper can be seen dissing the restaurant called Revelry, and the bodyguard outside. He referred to him as a "sucker" and panned the camera to his outfit.

He poked fun at his appearance from head to toe, especially his velvet shoes, before walking out. The bodyguard visibly took it in stride, but the internet was less than happy. Many began reprimanding T.I. for berating a man who was simply doing his job, while others called his parenting skills into question, noting that this was not the example he should setting for his kids.

"That’s his job. And at 44 years old you bully him because you’re wrong? You shouldn’t be roaming the city out of state without your ID on you," another asserted.

T.I.'s parenting skills called into question over claims he checks if his daughter's hymen is "still intact"

Just this past October, T.I.'s 19-year-old son, King Harris, was cuffed for nearly clashing with a police car. He was consequently placed behind bars at the DeKalb County Jail. As reported by the Daily Mail, he had just left a gas station when he nearly hit a cop car. He was then pulled over in Dunwoody, Georgia.

Per the outlet, the police officer at the scene smelled weed from his BMW and noticed a gun strapped to his hip. He then asked King to place his hands on the steering wheel. Upon checking his license and registration, he noticed that the boy was wanted elsewhere in Pickens County for a failure to show up.

Per the outlet, the arresting officer penned the following report:

"I informed Mr. Harris that I would need to speak with him outside and opened the driver-side door. Mr. Harris was cooperative, and I removed the firearm from his hip with no issue. I then had Mr. Harris step out of the vehicle and I detained him by placing handcuffs on him. I escorted Mr. Harris to my patrol vehicle, conducted a pat down, and placed him into the rear of my vehicle."

As for T.I., this is not his first brush with controversy. In the past, he was hit with even more scrutiny for supposedly keeping a check on his daughter's hymen. In November 2019, the rapper made the contentious claims in a now-deleted episode of Ladies Like Us, asserting that he takes his 18-year-old daughter for regular check-ups for the same.

He wanted to know if her hymen was “still intact.” However, his comments incited rage in the masses online, forcing him to recant his claims. Not long after, he sat down for an interview with Jada Pinkett Smith, along with his wife, on Red Table Talk. He said:

"I think all of this surrounds a conversation that I was having in a very joking manner when asked how do I deal with parenting in this day and age. I began to embellish and exaggerate. I think that a lot of people kind of took it extremely literal … I honestly thought people knew me better than that.”

When Jada asked him if he understood the gravity of his comments, he claimed he did not:

"I understand it now. However, my intentions, I think, have been terribly misconstrued and misconceived. I never said I was in any exam room. That is an assumption … it is a falsity. I never said that it was being done in present day.”

While he may have gone back on his claims, the internet was displeased. Many continued to call him out as a father, noting that he was perpetuating misogynistic behavior.
