Halloweentown actor Daniel Kountz during a recent panel appearance at 90s Con at Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Connecticut mentioned that he had "no feelings" for now-wife and co-star Kimberly J. Brown at first.
When a fan asked Daniel if he had a crush on Kimberly when they initally started filming the 2001 series, he responded saying,
"I mean that would be funny, but no, we were consummate professionals. We were, you know, we were colleagues working together and became friends, truth be told."
He then went on to highlight their 6-year age gap and said,
"I am six years older than her, so I was 22 when I did (Halloweentown II) and she was 16. We were, we were good friends, like, working together and had a good time, but no, nothing, like, nothing headed romantic. We didn't reconnect 'till about nine years ago or so."
The couple got engaged in 2022 and tied the knot on April 19, 2024, at the Spanish Hills Club in Camarillo, California, after meeting on the set of Halloweentown sequel. While speaking to People at the time, Daniel Kountz explained their time on the set saying,
"We were strictly professional."
Kimberly noted that she reached out to him on Facebook to work on some comedy sketches for her YouTube chanel and "started catching feelings."

Kountz suggested they meet up for dinner and that's how things started between the two. In a May, 2024 interview with People, Daniel admitted that he caught feelings first,
"We met up at a bar, and I was waiting there for a little Kimberly J. Brown to come in, and in walks a beautiful, well-put together full grown woman. I was like, 'Oh, well, hello there. I believe we've both grown up a little bit."
After Halloweentown, Brown went on to appear in General Hospital, Hallmark movie, Crossword Mysteries, and AMC series, Low Winter Sun. While, Daniel Kountz went on to appear in Mad Men, and Ghost Whisperer.
