Former CNN host Don Lemon has made headlines again after discussing a personal experience with workplace harassment in an interview on Bill Maher’s Club Random Podcast.
In the podcast, Lemon opened up about moments when he felt he had been harassed by female colleagues during his time at CNN. He also made sure to note that not all violations of workplace conduct were on the same level as Harvey Weinstein’s cases.
Don Lemon, who is openly gay now, opened up about two instances where he felt abused or harassed by his coworkers; according to him, both of them were caused by women. Addressing the first instance, he stated:
"I remember when i was in Atlanta and was in a cafeteria commissary whatever, and this woman a young lady tweaked my nipples and said 'oh it’s cold in here'"
When Bill Maher asked if this was during the time of his tenure with CNN Don Lemon replied, “Yes.” Lemon stated that he did not take this incident to the HR in fear of not being believed or even losing his job. He talked about the double standard that exists in the workplace when it comes to harassment experienced by men.
The former CNN host talked about another incident where he felt harassed; this time it involved someone he worked with. This incident, according to him, took place in an informal place. Yet again talking about his decision to not tell HR, he said:
"I thought they may find a way to get rid of me, because if i told this story I don't know if they are going to believe me or not. But then she was so mean to me that I was like I should have told the story."
Don Lemon exposes the hypocrisy of married MAGA men
Don Lemon recently shared insights into MAGA after a shocking revelation about what he saw at Republican events. In a viral TikTok video shared on February 24, Lemon said married men at such conventions typically hit on him, even as they belong to a political group that is often critical of conservative family values.
Lemon, who has been married to real estate agent Tim Malone since April 2024, responded with disbelief at the hypocrisy. He also criticized some of the MAGA supporters' behavior for being hypocritical, explaining that these same men who criticize liberals and debate gender identity are on Grindr at Republican conventions.
The video, which has garnered more than 375,000 views, drew heated responses online. According to The Root, some users were calling for Lemon to name names, while others were unfazed by the accusations.
During his recent interview on Bill Maher’s Club Random Podcast, Don Lemon was seen stating that he does not believe how someone who is “Black” can be a “rational MAGA person."
