Boosie Badazz has already begun pleading with President Donald Trump for a presidential pardon, merely a couple of hours after he made his political comeback. He took to social media on November 6, 2024, to appeal for a special dispensation for his federal gun case in San Diego.
In his statement on X, he presented his case, noting that there were insufficient grounds to charge him. Just this summer, Boosie was hit with a re-indictment in the case, less than two weeks after a judge dismissed it.
The internet, as usual, weighed in. There was a sudden outpouring of sarcasm and pointed remarks, and as one user claimed:
"Not you begging."
Many more had a lot to say:
"I could definitely see him doing it tbh. He's a lil busy atm though. Give him a bit," somebody joked.
"you know big dawg trump gonna get you outta there," another asserted.
"On Twitter bro?" an user on X questioned, wittily.
"Naw na look at boosie," one netizen jested.
Everyone online either reacted with jokes at his expense, or advice and suggestions.
"damn can he get in the office first?" someone asked, humorously.
"Already begging. give it a week damn!" another suggested.
"My boy tryna get ahead," one user joked.
Meanwhile, the rest of the comments focused on tagging the President's official X handle, as they tried to catch his eye on Boosie Badazz's behalf.
Boosie Badazz pens a tirade on X, claims his case is "unconstitutional"
On November 6, the rapper pleaded his case on X, saying:
"@realDonaldTrump CAN U PARDON ME ON MY FED CASE ? i’m a NON VIOLENT FELON. THE COURTS RULED THAT a NON VIOLENT CANNOT BE CHARGED WITH A 922g .THE JUDGE DISMISSED MY CASE BUT THE RULING HAS BEEN APPEALED!! SO ONCE AGAIN I WAS INDICTED IM FIGHTING THIS CASE!! THIS IS THE EXACT CASE to US VS DUARTE THAT WAS RULED UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!”
He further went on to suggest a meeting with Trump and ended this post by congratulating him for the recent win :
"oh one more thing can u sit down with me n talk about U GIVING POLICE immunity. I THINK THIS WILL MOTIVATE OFFICERS TO COMMIT DEADLY CRIMES. PLEASE DONT DO THIS. anyway congratulations on your win LETS GET THIS MONEY N DROP THESE TAXES. shit killing me.”
Boosie Badazz's federal gun case can be traced back to June 2023, when he was apprehended for the same. Notably, he was leaving a courtroom at the time, after having another gun case tried and dismissed.
He was hit with multiple gun charges, including “felony possession of a firearm and transporting firearms across highways.” According to Hip Hop Dx, the rapper was indicted based on some incriminatory Instagram Live posts, where he was seen tucking a gun into his jeans.
Boosie Badazz was also cuffed in 2009, and consequently sent to prison over gun and drug-related charges. As for his forthcoming case, should he be found guilty, he will face a stint of up to a decade in prison.
