Robert Eggers speaks about Home Alone and its creator Chris Columbus

Nosferatu director Robert Eggers shared his thoughts on the Christmas classic Home Alone, saying:

"I watch this once a year. I also think that this is a masterpiece. It’s a timeless movie. It is impeccably photographed. Unlike many movies in this kind of genre, it’s not overshot. It’s a really well-crafted film."

He further gave the title of 'one of the masters of orthodox Hollywood storytelling' to Home Alone helmer Chris Columbus. As per reports, Robert and Chris' mentor-student bond has been quite strong since the 2015 folk horror film The Witch.

Eggers added:

"It seems weird, I know it, but he is incredible and he was the main creative producer on Nosferatu."

As per reports, Chris religiously worked on storyboards and was quite involved in Nosferatu's creative build-up. Robert also said:

"I just couldn't have had a better, more inspiring collaboration with a producer than I have with Chris Columbus."

Columbus has been associated with other highly successful movies like J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter, and the standalone comedy film Mrs. Doubtfire.
