Nolan's The Odyssey welcomes new cast from Inception, Interstellar and Tenet : Reports

The star-studded cast of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey has just been joined by three new key members as the film undergoes production. Fans are excited to see what these actors will bring to the table, and particularly, which roles they will be entrusted with in the film inspired by Homer's poem.

Elliot Page, who previously broke through with his role in 2007's Juno, also happens to be an existing member of Nolan's club as he was a part of Inception, where he played Adriadne. He is rejoining Nolan for The Odyssey, although his role has not yet been specified. The actor has won multiple accolades, including nominations for an Academy Award, three British Academy Film Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and two Primetime Emmy Awards.

Himesh Patel, also returning for another film, has been a part of Nolan's Tenet. Patel is widely known for his role and musical abilities in Yesterday, where he played Jack Malik and covered various Beatles songs.

Joining them is Bill Irwin, who voiced the robot TARS in Interstellar. Irwin also holds notability as a Broadway choreographer and has acted in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as Dr. Peter Lindstrom.

There is, however, one newcomer to the team in Samantha Morton who is known for her role in The Serpent Queen. The actress is a two-time Oscar nominee and has received widespread praise for her portrayal of Catherine De Medii in the show.

The four stars are joining the team of Matt Damon, Lupita Nyong’o, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Jon Bernthal, and Benny Safdie.

The Odyssey is based on Homer's epic poem of the same name, which follows the journey of Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, as he returns home from the Trojan War. His 'odyssey' lasts ten years as he jumps through hurdles and problems in his journey. Back home, his wife Penelope awaits him. She is another strong character in the poem, along with their son Temelachus.

Nolan's film will be a period drama, a break from his usual science fiction spread. It is not yet known who would play Odysseus in the film, but looking at the incredible cast Nolan has put together, it would be a hard guess.
