Lil Uzi Vert's new social media video addresses the use of nitrous oxide in his song "We Good" from his Eternal Atake 2 album. The rapper released his fourth studio album on November 1.

In a viral video that Uzi posted a month ago, Uzi was seen inhaling nitrous oxide from a balloon in a recording studio, raising concerns about possible substance abuse. In his album opener, We Good, Lil Uzi Vert, while responding to concerns over his consumption of nitrous oxide raps,

"They said I was lost, they thought I was a dead guy. I was on the NOS (slang term for nitrous)

After @kurrco posted the new lyrics on X, fans took to the comment section, reacting to the rapper admitting the use of NOS,

While some netizens think that the rapper has been on NOS for the entirety of his album recording, others agreed that NOS has led to him creating a "trash" album,

"he doing nitrous for the music" - says a fan
"His brain fried but the music fire" - another user commented
"I’m ngl half the songs so far sound like he was just doing whippets and tryna rap lol, still some bangers on it tho" - another user noted
"He was definitely off the whippets for this album" - says another user

More about Lil Uzi Vert's relationship with addiction

Lil Uzi Vert's recent mentions of consuming nitrous oxide have raised concerns among his fans and followers since the rapper has a history of addiction. In June 2023, the rapper shared images of his cover story for the 032c magazine's summer 2023 issue, where he opened up about spending seven months in rehab to get clean, saying,

"I spent seven months in rehab. The first month and a half were hard, but after that, it wasn't easy because the people there became my family. They showed me so many different outlets and ways to cope with life. We did a lot of group talks, a lot of writing on whiteboards. I was so sure that it wasn't going to work, but surprisingly it's super effective."

Several rappers other than Lil Uzi Vert have been spotted on camera this year for using nitrous oxide, including Baby Kia, Skrille, and Kanye West. In August, West was accused by his former chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, of having a nitrous oxide addiction after a dentist got him hooked on it.
