John Maclean's Tornado has made a dramatic entrance as the action film has garnered mixed reactions from fans and viewers with its stunning visuals and Quentin Tarantino-esque aesthetics. As the film has started getting all the attention across various platforms, it's aiming for a digital release in July after premiering at the Glasgow Film Festival.

While snippets of the trailer are being shared on social media, fans are quibbling in with their opinions, the majority of which talk about the film's stunning similarities to Quentin Tarantino's visuals.

User @dextergray1670 wrote on YouTube,

Tarantino somewhere punching the air right now

While another user, u/nosmelc, wrote on Reddit,

Looks like something Tarantino would make.

More comparisons followed as one user pointed out how Tornado looks similar to two of Tarantino's most popular movies, as he said,

Lower budget but classier. Definitely giving off some Kill Bill meets Reservoir Dogs vibes though.

Agreed, the visuals of the film do mirror Tarantino's iconic neo-noir violence, razor-sharp dialogue, and sound scores. Both of Maclean's films- Tornado and Slow West share stark similarities with Tarantino's aesthetics.

More users talked about Tim Roth's return to the screen as he stars as the antagonist Sugerman in Tornado. User @michaelmaloskyjr commented,

Tim Roth is beyond relentless; he's literally one of the most unreasonably tenacious actors I've ever seen embody a character. To see that "death toggle" in his eyes -- Ok, you die. Ok, you live. -- makes him feel more scary despite his medium frame.

Another user, u/cjboffoli, added on Reddit,

Oh man. How exciting to see Tim Roth back on the screen. And as a baddie.

Beyond the praise, it also inspired some mixed reviews, as many expressed skepticism on the project, based on its initial visuals.

u/joanzen on Reddit wrote about the cliched trope in the movie and wrote,

Bad guy knows via intuition that this girl is important and must be captured without harm, but doesn't have the intuition to know she'll use his soft handed approach to train and become deadly, all thanks to him thinking he knows the future?

While more users wrote their doubtful opinions on the film's reception.

@mamelucoderribado on YouTube commented,

This will be either pure kino or absolute slop. High risk high reward

While another user on Reddit, u/dizzi800, wrote,

I can't tell if this will be a masterpiece, or a terrible slog - but it looks interesting, which is important
