Sonic the Hedgehog 3 showed Carrey's comedic genius shine in two roles. The first was Dr. Ivo Robotnik, the evil "Eggman" and Sonic's arch-nemesis, who also appeared in the last two chapters.

This time, Ivo was paired with his grandfather, Professor Gerald Robotnik who led the Project Shadow. Their collective output made the film a lot funnier for the franchise fans. That is arguably proven by the film's massive box office, which recently surpassed the $420 million mark.

While the comedian made a splash with his dual role, a few scenes were scrapped from the film's final cut. One of them shows Ivo and Gerald appearing in a livestream with two other Sonic 3 characters. It shows Carrey's Ivo taking on another persona as a gamer. Let's see what happens in the video.

EW recently shared a scrapped moment from Sonic the Hedgehog 3. In this short clip, Dr. Ivo Robotnik becomes a live-streamer with the handle name - "Huevo Diablo." (transl. Devil Eggs) He speaks in his unique style for a moment or two and then suddenly, his grandfather arrives there. Gerald tries to understand what Ivo is doing.

As it happens, Shadow the Hedgehog (voiced in the film by Keanu Reeves) and Agent Stone (played by Lee Majdoub) appear in the back. Ivo calls his viewers #EggHeads and tries to "rizz" them up with his "big reveal." In short, he tries to charm his viewers with a special card he holds. As Ivo speaks, Agent Stone opens his live stream on a phone, and Love reacts to it continuously.

It's a fun little snippet that doesn't appear in a finalized version - since you can see a blue screen on their back. Still, it gives a glimpse at what fun these two "devil eggs" could have had with the power of a live stream.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 brought Jim Carrey back to the screen who had reportedly planned to take a break from acting. John Wick star Keanu Reeves joined him this time as the voice of Shadow. They were joined by Ben Schwartz, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, and Idris Elba as the voice cast. Lee Majdoub, Krysten Ritter, James Marsden, Alyla Browne, and Sofia Pernas were also present in key roles.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will be available digitally on VOD (Video on Demand) services from January 21, 2025.
