Model and actress Naomi Campbell has reportedly been prohibited from heading any charitable organizations in England and Wales for five years following an investigation that accused her of mismanaging funds within her charity.

On September 26, 2024, Britain’s Charity Commission published a report stating that Campbell exhibited poor governance and inadequate financial management concerning her Fashion for Relief organization.

According to a report by CelebrityNetWorth, the model with a net worth of $80 Million, founded the organization in 2005 to support environmental and humanitarian causes. Campbell and her associates have been allegedly accused of using their roles within the organization to cover the costs of luxury flights, extravagant hotel accommodations, and personal expenses.

It was revealed after an investigation that only 8.5% of the charity’s total spending over the six years starting in 2016 was allocated to charitable grants. The report also highlighted expenditures such as spa treatments, room service, cigarettes, and hotel amenities. While speaking to AP news on September 26, 2024, Naomi Campbell said:

“I was not in control of my charity, I put the control in the hands of a legal employer.”

The investigation further revealed that over five years from 2016, Fashion for Relief raised nearly £4.8 million through fashion shows, but distributed only £389,000 in grants to partner charities after covering event costs and other expenses.

Bianka Hellmich, a fellow trustee of Naomi Campbell, was disqualified from serving as a charity trustee for nine years after the inquiry revealed that she had received £290,000 in unauthorized consultancy fees and £26,000 annually in travel expenses from the charity over two years.

While she was in a relationship with Vladislav Doronin, he reportedly constructed a £109 million futuristic mansion for her in Moscow, which was later listed for £78 million after their split. Doronin also gifted Campbell a 25-bedroom vacation home on Turkey's Cleopatra Island for her birthday, known as "Eco-House Horus" due to its sustainable design resembling the Egyptian Eye of Horus.

In 2005, she purchased a Manhattan duplex for $4 million and sold it the next year for $4.5 million. According to a report from The Richest, her annual earnings had reached as high as $49 million at one point.

Naomi Campbell hinted at her earnings while discussing Linda Evangelista's famous quote about 90s supermodels not getting out of bed for less than $10,000 a day. According to a report by The Sydney Morning Herald, her former agent Carole White stated that it was likely to be around the £300,000 mark per job.

Naomi Campbell’s talent was discovered at age 15. Her career skyrocketed after securing a British Elle cover before she turned 16. In addition to her full-time modeling career, she ventured into music, releasing a full album titled Babywoman, authored a book, appeared in films and television, and served as both executive producer and coach on The Face.
