Antony Starr, star of the Amazon series The Boys, attended the Toronto Comic Con on Sunday. According to Austin Medeiros' official X account, the actor talked about a possible collaboration with the Marvel Universe. When the fan inquired whether Starr saw himself joining the MCU, the 49-year-old actor responded that he's probably too old for a role in the franchise.

He said:

"Nah I’m a little too old for that”

The actor who has both terrified and charmed audiences with his portrayal of Homelander might have left fans disappointed with his response.

The fan also asked Starr if he would play Norman Osborne, aka The Green Goblin, in future MCU adaptations. In response, Starr praised Willem Dafoe's performance while also admitting that it is a role he could see himself playing but probably wouldn't.

"I COULD DO THAT! But Willem Dafoe did a great job so maybe not”

Back in 2024, the actor was linked to the DC Universe when he and James Gunn were seen interacting on social media. Starr later clarified the rumors about him potentially joining DC in an interview with Comic Book, explaining that they were simply golf buddies and he was excited to see what Gunn would do for the franchise.

"I think he's amazing. I cannot wait to see what he does with the DC universe. I think he's a phenomenal director, producer, talent. He's just one of the biggest brains in the industry. So I'm excited to see what he cooks up,"

Antony Starr is set for one last ride as Homelander in season 5 of The Boys

Antony Starr, set to don Homelander's cape one last time, had previously gotten emotional about bidding farewell to his character in an interview with IGN.

He said:

"Oh, I can't think of that yet. I can't go there yet because, first of all, we've got a long way to go, and I want to make the most of it and enjoy it. I'm enjoying what's happening with the show at the moment.”

He also added:

"I'm very conscious that I want us to go out on a really positive, strong note. I don't want us to be the show that pushed one season too far and fell flat. On behalf of everyone that works on the show, I think we deserve to go out with our heads up, not feeling like we should have gone earlier or we overstayed our welcome, so to speak. I think it'll be about the right time, but also it'll be a hard thing to leave.”

The "Boys" season 4 premiered back in July 2024, and the fifth and final season is set to premiere sometime in 2026. According to reports, the final season shall consist of eight episodes.
