Diddy was hit with yet another s*xual assault lawsuit on December 20. This time, an Oklahoma woman named LaTroya Grayson leveled the suit against him, claiming that he drugged and forced himself on her in 2006.
However, the Bad Boy Records founder has maintained his innocence throughout his legal troubles, and this time, his legal counsel pushed back on Grayson's claims, noting that she doesn't have any recollection of the alleged incident. In a statement to USA Today, Diddy's attorney said:
"Mr. Combs has never s*xually assaulted anyone or engaged in s*x trafficking. Ms. Grayson admits she has no memory of the events alleged in her complaint, does not know who was supposedly involved, and has never spoken to Mr. Combs."
LaTroya Grayson accuses Diddy of assaulting, stealing, and tearing her clothes up: Here's what we know
Per USA Today, LaTroya Grayson claims she was at one of Diddy's "black parties" on October 16, 2006, and the following day, she woke up in the hospital with no memory of what had happened the night before.
Her lawsuit also includes pictures of alleged receipts, plane tickets, and photos of her at the party, which she claims backs her narrative up. Per Hot New Hip Hop, at the time, Grayson's sibling won tickets to New York City, with stays for them and a guest covered. They also allegedly won tickets to Diddy's party.
She included photos of these tickets and invites in her filing, and per the outlet, the flight tickets included one for an October 16 flight to NYC and one for the following day's flight back to Tulsa. The alleged victim also included photos of her bills from the Roger Smith Hotel in Manhattan, which was purportedly covered by Atlantic Records.
Furthermore, that night, she only drank "less than" two drinks that were given to her by servers before she found herself at Saint Vincent's Medical Center of New York. Grayson believes she was "drugged, assaulted, robbed with no memory of how she arrived at the hospital as her last memory was being at Diddy's Black Party," the complaint states, the outlet has reported.
Her filing also includes photos from the night before, where Grayson can be seen posing with several celebrities. Cut to the following day, she woke up with no undergarments, her shirt torn, and no cash in her purse or shoes on her feet. Per USA Today, "The only money Plaintiff had remaining was a twenty-dollar bill."
She further claims that the following day, an "anonymous female caller" warned her against pressing charges against Diddy for what she thinks took place the night before, and it was this call that led her to believe that the now-disgraced mogul was involved in the debacle.
In a statement to USA Today, Diddy's lawyers claimed:
"Her allegations against him are pure fiction. As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every baseless lawsuit and lawyer-driven money grab. He has faith in the judicial process, in which fact will be separated from opportunistic fabrications like these."
Just a month before she filed her lawsuit, LaTroya Grayson sat down for an interview with The Mirror. At the time, she reflected on the alleged incident, noting:
"I was standing by the bathroom, and next thing I know I passed out. I got really, really dizzy to where I fell out." She went on," Next thing I know, I was in the hospital. I don’t know how I got there. I was going in and out of consciousness — back and forth, in and out. I was still pretty messed up."
She claimed her drinks were spiked, leading to an upset stomach. Even then, she maintained that she woke up in a disheveled condition:
"I sat on the bench for several hours and they told me I had to leave. But I do believe the hospital called my mom whenever I was there. I left with no shoes on. My shirt was kind of ripped. I noticed all my money was taken out of my purse except for like 20 dollars. I got robbed for my money. I had just enough to get back to the motel in a cab."
As for the anonymous caller, Grayson recounted what the woman said to her:
"She had all my information and was basically telling me that I couldn't do anything about it, that Puff Daddy was a famous person and I wouldn't get anywhere with the issue if I tried to do anything." She went on, "So I'm like, ‘Well, how did you even get my phone number? Do you know anything about my money being missing?’ She's like, ‘No, I don't know nothing about that.’ I'm like, ‘Well, I mean, how did you even get my phone number?'"
She revealed that when she called back, no one picked up. Following the incident, Grayson reveals she was in a state of shock. She claims she spiraled into depression afterward and began isolating to cope.
Diddy currently rests behind bars as he awaits his day in court on May 5, 2025. The mogul has been dealing with a litany of lawsuits which, if found guilty, will sentence him to life in prison.
