Jimmy Donaldson, better known online as MrBeast, has a history of documenting his charity work through his videos.

The 26-year-old YouTuber recently shared the subject of his next video, which will see him feeding the impoverished across the globe. In his X post, MrBeast even appealed to the “ultra rich people” on the platform to make contributions towards his philanthropic project. Donaldson wrote:

“Dear ultra rich people on X, I’ve been working on a video where we feed people in need globally and if any of you wouldn’t mind donating a million dollars to help us feed more people that’d mean the world to me! Pretty plz 🥺”

Another user on X referred to the same post, asking MrBeast about having the “whole list of ultra-wealthy people.”

Donaldson replied, claiming how he got an “unfathomable amount” of DMs due to the “TikTok” tweet, but no one reached out to him regarding the fundraiser,

“It is funny that when I say I’m buying TT I get unfathomable amount of messages from the ultra wealthy but when I fundraise it’s crickets 😭”

For those unaware, Donaldson’s appeal to the ultra-rich X users came a couple of days after his famous tweet about buying TikTok US. The content creator had previously revealed how he received messages from many billionaires after his post about TikTok.

MrBeast had posted about buying TikTok after it seemingly went dark on January 18. After the post went viral amidst concerns around the TikTok ban, many reached out to him to buy out the short-form video hosting service, as claimed by the YouTuber.

Ultimately, TikTok made a return ahead of Trump’s second inauguration after an almost 14-hour outage. However, Jimmy seemingly didn’t receive the same support from the ultra-wealthy for his fundraiser for feeding those in need.

Internet reacts after MrBeast didn’t receive the same support for fundraising in comparison to buying TikTok

Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson apparently did not get the same number of messages when he appealed for fundraising for the people in need instead of buying TikTok. As the YouTuber shared the situation with his followers on X, many users were quick to chime in their response. Many even asked to contribute small amounts, while others praised the YouTuber for his work.

Here are some of the reactions from the X after Donaldson posted about not receiving enough responses from the ultra-wealthy:

“I’m not rich but I can help with 40 dollars if you tell me where to send it,” a user asked.
“I think you're the first person to say that out loud. You're the wealthy celebrity type that this world needs. – Is there a way us non wealthy can help?,” another user enquired.
“Just tell them that the food donation is part of the TT deal,” someone wisecracked.
“Oh you ate. Tbf, they’ll do what makes them more $. Not all of the others are as kind-hearted as you,” another one lauded Jimmy.

A user wrote:

“I don’t have 1 million... I’m a disabled veteran. and all considering I don’t have that much money. but post a link and I’ll donate. don’t want the crickets to be the only one in here.”

Another user joined in:

“Count me in. DM where and when to send $.”

Someone pointed out:

“The reality of this world #greed.”

It will not be the first time MrBeast will contribute to the welfare of the underprivileged. Apart from creating content on outlandish challenges, the Beast Games creator has a plethora of videos helping others, be it building houses or saving dogs from death. In his recent video, Jimmy helped 2,000 amputees to get prosthetics.
