It is not the first time Rachel Green has crossed over with Alex Russo. In January 2020, Jennifer guest hosted Selena on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Gomez shared the story of her first run-in with Aniston on the show. She recalled how excited she got when she saw Jennifer Aniston at a Vanity Fair party,
“Nobody knew who I was and you were in the bathroom wearing a black dress. I think we were at a Vanity Fair or something event. And I was there with my mom and I walked into the bathroom and I saw you and you were just like so nice. You were just like walked out of the bathroom and you're going back. And My heart, like, stopped and I freaked out, and I ran to my mom and I was like, ‘Oh my god, I just saw Jennifer Aniston.’”
On The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Selena also shared how she was a longtime Friends fan and watched it with her mother while growing up. She also added that she was happy for Jennifer, as people her age were still obsessed with the “iconic” show, even years after its conclusion.
