Millie Bobby Brown offers an update about the filming for Enola Holmes 3. The Stranger Things actress recently spoke with Collider about her latest collaboration with the Russo brothers titled The Electric State, where she co-stars with Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World Dominion). The film will debut on Netflix on March 14, ahead of its L.A. premiere on February 24.

During this conversation, Millie Bobby Brown was asked about the latest installment of Enola Holmes, which is officially in plans at Netflix.

"I'm going to be doing an Enola Holmes 3 this year. We start filming in the coming weeks. I'm very excited."

The actress offered this exclusive update about the filming for this chapter. There was already a report stating that the film would go on floors in April 2025. Per that report, the threequel will be shot in locations across the UK. The production is expected to be for about 12 weeks.

Brown's comments do not reveal any concrete information nor do they confirm the previous reports. She only shares a potential filming timeline and reveals her excitement about this anticipated project. Regardless, she offers hope to her fans that Enola Holmes 3 will be shot in the coming months. So, they can expect the return of this sleuth to Netflix fairly soon.

Enola Holmes 3: What do we know about this Netflix project?

Enola Holmes 3 has been greenlit by Netflix under the helm of Boiling Point director Philip Barantini. Per a Deadline report from November 2024, Barantini will take over the directing duties from Harry Bradbeer, who worked on the first two parts. Plot details have not been disclosed yet.

Before these films, Bradbeer became known to a wider audience for his work on Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Fleabag. This BBC tragicomedy series showed its central character breaking the fourth wall for humor. Enola Holmes used the same technique for a similar effect.

However, the next installment of Enola Holmes will reportedly be "darker" since Barantini hopes to do what director Alfonso Cuarón did for the Harry Potter franchise with Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Considering the praise for Barantini's previous directorial work, Millie Bobby Brown fans can expect Enola Holmes 3 to be in safe hands.

Henry Cavill, Susan Wokoma, Adeel Akhtar, and Louis Partridge are expected to return to this franchise along with Brown. Himesh Patel (Yesterday, Good Grief) might join them since he appeared as Mr. Watson toward the end of Enola Holmes 2. However, his return has not been officially confirmed by now.
