Miles Teller has nothing but kind words for Marvel's upcoming The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The Top Gun: Maverick star has previously starred in a Fantastic Four project alongside Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell. However, the movie was a financial failure, which led the studio to scrap its plans for a sequel.

Nearly ten years later, another Fantastic Four project is up for release. Despite the failure of his 2015 movie, Teller wishes the best to Fantastic Four: First Step. Teller, who previously played Reed Richards, also spoke about Pedro Pascal appearing as the new Mister Fantastic.

“I’ve known Pedro for a couple of years, man I’m wishing them all the best. I don’t wish anybody to be a part of a bomb, it’s just a marker on your career that for some people takes longer to get over than others. I just wish them the best. I saw the little trailer and I thought it looked fantastic, I’m very excited for them.”

Teller shared this reaction with The Hollywood Reporter, during the L.A. premiere of his new sci-fi romance film, The Gorge.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps: Miles Teller wishes the best to the new Marvel film

Miles Teller is widely known for his roles in Whiplash, Top Gun: Maverick, and The Divergent film trilogy. However, beyond these well-received projects, he has also starred in movies that did not receive the same love and recognition. One of them is the 2015 iteration of Fantastic Four, where he played Reed Richards.

With The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Pedro Pascal is taking over this role from Marvel's first family. However, Teller isn't bitter about this change. In fact, he wishes the new film his best. During his brief conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Teller also revealed that he saw the The Fantastic Four: First Step trailer and thought it was fantastic.

Miles Teller currently stars in Apple TV+'s The Gorge alongside Furiosa star Anna Taylor-Joy. They have been friends for long, which helped them build the chemistry for the film. In line with this, Teller said,

“The more comfortable you feel with somebody before the cameras start rolling, that goes a long way with the chemistry."

Taylor-Joy, who shares his sentiment, further added,

“You don’t really know if you’re going to have chemistry with somebody until you’re there, so I think both of us were like, ‘Phew OK great, this is going to be fun.’ It just helps to know that you’re going to work every day with somebody who has your back and loves you.”
