Finally, we have our first look at the first Marvel Cinematic Universe family in The Fantastic Four: First Steps teaser. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are coming together for this wild ride, and joining them in the film, are Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal, aka Silver Surfer.
Marvel's social media account saw some activity yesterday when a few kids in a retro setting gathered in front of a TV that announced the launch. Just a few hours later, we got to see the poster with a launch button having family members' names on it.
Here's a breakdown for The Fantastic Four: First Steps trailer
Marvel fans had to wait for it, but The Fantastic Four: First Steps teaser gave us a fair look at the 60s earth, where the story will take place. Before it began, the film's main cast joined the fans after an hour of Marvel teasing the first look.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps begins with Pedro Pascal's Reed Richards and Vanessa Kirby's Sue Storm leading a gentleman to the Baxter Building, which the family will use as sort of a HQ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was destroyed by Hulk in an alternate timeline; they should hope he doesn't come here.
We also got a look at H.E.R.B.I.E., a robot that is considered an ally of the team, much like Iron Man's J.A.R.V.I.S. We see him joined by Ebon Moss-Bachrach's The Thing, who is helping the bot cook. It seems like he did a good job.
Later in The Fantastic Four: First Steps teaser, we hear Reed Richards discuss their superpowers with Sue Storm. He says,
"Before we went up the first time, you couldn't turn invisible. Ben wasn't a rock. And Johnny never caught fire."
And we finally got a glimpse of the world-devouring Galactus looking right at the Statue of Liberty. Although, he wasn't as cosmic as he should be. The last time we saw him in 2007, he was larger. John Malkovich appears in it for a brief moment, where he looks to be playing Ivan Kragoff, aka the Red Ghost.
Only one character failed to make it to the teaser, Silver Surfer. However, the character is confirmed to be appearing in the film, so we can expect to see her in the upcoming trailer. Although we don't have an idea as to when it will come.
