Marcus Jordan, 34, made a major revelation to the court weeks after his DUI arrest last month. On February 4, 2025, the Maitland Police Department arrested him in Orange County, Florida.
The authorities arrested the son of legendary basketball player Micheal Jordan after they found his car stuck on train tracks in Florida and went ahead to assess his situation, as per a People Magazine report.
Marcus Jordan, a former college basketball player, admitted
"that he needs help to overcome the challenges of his alcohol/substance use and is amenable to treatment."
Following this crucial turn of events, his attorney requested that his client, Marcus, be granted access to a substance abuse program.
Marcus Jordan opened up about alcohol and substance abuse following his last DUI arrest
The ex-UCF Knights men's basketball player disclosed to the court about using alcohol and substance.
According to court documents obtained by People Magazine, Marcus Jordan requested the judge to allow him to be a part of a Pre-Trial Substance Abuse Education and Treatment Intervention Program. The court filing further specified his commitment to transform into someone "responsible" and "drug-free."
"While Mr. Jordan acknowledges the seriousness of the charges against him, he respectfully submits that he is an ideal candidate for the Pre-Trial Substance Abuse Education and Treatment Intervention Program due to his strong desire to live as a responsible, drug-free, productive member in the community."
The filing further read,
"His participation in the Pre-Trial Substance Abuse Education and Treatment Intervention Program will not only benefit him personally but also serve the community by reducing the likelihood of future offenses."

The news of the cops finding Marcus slurring his words with "bloodshot and glassy" eyes inside his Lamborghini SUV stuck on the tracks created a buzz on the internet. Reportedly, he was "confused where he was located." According to a Us Magazine report, the cops could smell alcohol. Following this incident earlier this year, he was arrested for DUI.
According to the police arrest report,
"The tires were halfway buried in the dirt/rocks on the tracks from being spun repeatedly."
Revealing more about the incident, the report also mentioned that
"Odor of an alcoholic beverage was getting stronger as he spoke."
While the cops tried to have a conversation with Marcus Jordan, he "would get agitated and irritated quickly." The officers also found a bag carrying a white substance. Later, its test results indicated it was cocaine. Lastly, he pleaded not guilty to charges including DUI, cocaine possession, and resisting arrest.
