M. Night Shyamalan is all set for his next creative venture. The director is teaming up with critically acclaimed writer Nicholas Sparks to work on a new supernatural romantic thriller. This will be the director's first collaboration with a major author, and fans are excited to see what both creative masterminds will bring to screens.

Jack Sneider reported that Shyamalan plans to cast Jake Gyllenhaal in the film, an original screenplay that will also be a novel written by both Sparks and Shyamalan. Blinding Edge Pictures will produce the film and Warner Bros will likely distribute it.

This will be the second time Shyamalan is basing a film on a literary piece, the first one being his film Knock at the Cabin, adapted from Paul Tremblay’s horror novel The Cabin at the End of the World.

Although details on the film are now being kept under wraps, knowing Shyamalan's legacy as a director and Gyllenhaal's presence on screen, the film might be a treat to watch. Not to mention Nicholas Sparks' mastery of novels that have been bestsellers and made their way to several movie adaptations.

Seeing all their brilliance come together in the cinema will be a delightful experience for fans and audiences. More information on the project is currently awaited.
