London, England's capital city, is all set to host the much-anticipated London Marathon 2025 on April 27. Around 56,000 participants are expected to participate in the 26.2-mile run, surpassing all previous records of participant footfall.

According to a London Marathon Events report, 840,318 individuals from different parts of the world have applied through the public ballot. This cemented a new world record for the number of marathon applications. Last year, the record stood at 578,304.

From the common public to celebrities, thousands of fitness enthusiasts are hyped up to join the crowd and jog and run to reach the end mark. This year, a lot of celebs are joining the London Marathon 2025. Read on to know the impressive lineup of renowned personalities participating in the running event.

Everything we know about the celebs participating in the London Marathon 2025

In an Instagram collaboration post with Runna, Romesh Ranganathan announced the news of joining the marathon, marking his second attempt with the Teenage Cancer Trust.

"Yep, you heard me right. I’m back for London Marathon attempt 2. This time, I’ve got @runna keeping me in check. I’m running for the incredible @teenage_cancer. If you’d like to donate you can do so in my bio. Thank you for your support."

After 2023, radio presenter Adele Roberts is ready to run in the 2025 London Marathon. According to a Daily Mail report, this year's 26.2-mile run will be her sixth major marathon, after running in Boston, Berlin, Chicago, Tokyo, and New York.

Actor Adam Woodyatt and his son, Samuel, will be present at the venue this weekend for the marathon. He has been gearing up for the event and sharing glimpses on social media, too.

Taking to Instagram, he wrote,

"It’s now Easter Sunday and I posted this in my story on Friday so some of you may have already seen it but the sentiment and reason for posting it again are still the same."

Joe Wicks confirmed his participation in the run with a long Instagram post. He wrote in the caption,

"This year, I’m going to be running the TCS 2025 London Marathon @londonmarathon 🙌 I did the marathon only once back in 2015 and it was one of the most painful experiences I’ve ever had, and I promised myself I would never do it again."

Joe's participation this year is for a "really special reason and extra motivation." He announced the launch of the Body Coach Foundation. He described it as

"a brand new charity aimed at helping communities and individuals get moving for their physical and mental health. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a really long time, and I’m proud to share that The Body Coach Foundation is now an officially registered charity."

For Diabetes UK & Melissa Bell Foundation, singer Alexandra Burke will participate in the marathon too. She has raised £4,967 for this cause.

TV show host Joel Dommett will participate in the London Marathon 2025 for Brain Tumours Support.

The London Marathon 2025 is special for several reasons. With husband Jeremy Parisi, Kelly Brook will join the race for Radox UK.

Sharing the news, she wrote on Instagram,

"I’m not a Runner in fact I’ve never ran more than 5k so this was a huge achievement today!! Rocky & Apollo would be Proud. 20k Completed it"

Love Island star Dr. Alex George has been training hard since 2024 for this year's marquee run event for the Anthony Nolan charity. The London Marathon 2025 will be his "first ever marathon."

The list of celebs joining over 840,000 participants in the London Marathon 2025 also includes Craig Doyle, Craig Parkinson, Chris Evans, Jack Greenlees, Jake Quickenden, Joe Sugg, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Kimberley Hart-Simpson, Lisa McGrillis, Michael Griffiths, Ollie Proudlock, Sam Heughan, Spencer Matthews, Stephen Webb, Stephen Mangan, Thomas Law, and Tony Audenshaw.
