The 21-year-old athlete competed against Harriet Dart at the Rouen Open on April 15, 2025, and this match saw Dart's harsh comment and Boisson's hilarious response to her rival's claim about her hygiene.

According to a People Magazine report, Harriet spoke with the game umpire and stated that Lois Boisson was smelling "really bad." The broadcast caught her saying,

"Can you tell her to wear deodorant? Because she smells really bad."

Her unpolished remark prompted the French tennis player to take the matter into her own hands and reply to the British tennis player.

Instead of a crude comment reported publicly, Lois Boisson clapped back at Harriet Dart by sharing her picture holding a tennis racket in her right hand and an image of a Dove deodorant photoshopped on her left hand, on top of a ball.

adding praying hands and laughing emojis. Lois' humorous reaction to Dart's sensitive comment impressed netizens. They find her cheeky response hilarious. On the other hand, many are slamming Harriet for her recent behavior.

Several social media users have pointed out the wrong statement and slammed her for the same. Sadly, the player has had to disable Instagram comments following the backlash.

Taking to Instagram story, Harriet shared a public apology. She penned,

"Hey everyone, I want to apologise for what I said on court today, it was a heat-of-the-moment comment that I truly regret."

She further continued,

"That’s not how I want to carry myself, and I take full responsibility. I have a lot of respect for Lois and how she competed today."

Dart concluded her statement, saying,
