Online streamer and YouTuber Pokimane aka Imane Anys seems to have misinterpreted gamer and music producer Faze Kaysan’s DMs. During a recent livestream, the YouTuber burst into laughter after Kaysan texted her saying they should go out for dinner.

She then showed the audience the messages that the music producer sent her. As understood from the conversation, Pokimane asked Faysan whether they were good or not to which he replied,

“We are more than good, apologies for misjudging you in the past you’re super cool.”

His next text read,

“I owe you a dinner.”

After that, he added,

“No no not the faze boys just us. How else can we become friends.”

Imane Anys drafted a reply. However, she reportedly did not send the message. As seen from the screenshot of the conversation shared by X account FearBuck, Pokimane wrote,

“"") that's so nice, we can hit a nice middle eastern joint w the faze boys sometime!! my treat tho.”

The account also speculated that Kaysan was trying to ask out the streamer to which he commented,

“Lmaooo chilll I was being friendly.”

During her December 2, 2024 broadcast, she addressed speculation from viewers about alleged tension with the musician, which appeared to surprise her. After learning the rumors might stem from her stance on gambling streams, she messaged Faze Kaysan on X to address and resolve the supposed issue after which the conversation followed.

Netizens were unhappy over Pokimane disclosing Faze Kaysan’s DMs

Pokimane reportedly stated she would keep the rest of her conversation with Faze Kaysan private. While some viewers found the interaction amusing, others criticized her for sharing his dinner invitation with her large audience and laughing about it. Some fans expressed their disappointment, calling the move disrespectful and unnecessary.

During his stream, Faze Kaysan downplayed the incident, even jokingly comparing it to a previous interaction with Madison Beer. Despite the initial tension, both streamers moved on, laughing about the situation, with Anys enjoying the memes inspired by the leaked messages.

Reportedly, Kaysan explained that he found the streamer attractive and tried his luck by asking her to dinner. He also encouraged his audience to take chances, emphasizing that rejection is not a big deal and urging them to remain friendly regardless of the outcome.

During a livestream, Canadian stream xQc came across the X post highlighting Faze Kaysan's messages to Pokimane. After reading the exchange, xQc expressed his view that Kaysan was harassing her, calling the behavior "weird" and labeling it as harassment. As he saw the reactions of his viewers, xQc dismissed his previous statements saying he was joking.

Earlier in November 2024, Pokimane addressed the backlash she received for combining Korean and Moroccan cuisines to try out a new fusion. While responding to the racist comments she received for the collab, the online streamer expressed that while she didn’t feel obligated to clarify her ethnic origins, she made an effort to represent Morocco due to her pride in her heritage.

She emphasized that claims suggesting she tried to hide her Moroccan roots contradict the very message she aimed to convey, which is celebrating and showcasing her background.
