Chicago rapper Lil Reese, born Tavares Taylor, is at the forefront of a legal controversy yet again, as he faces an arrest warrant stemming from allegations of assaulting his ex-girlfriend. The artist is known for his contributions to the drill music scene and has a net worth of about $1 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Lil Reese dropped out of high school during his junior year to make it in the music industry. The Chicago-born rapper started gaining fame for the music videos of his songs, Us and Beef. Lil Reese choked his alleged ex-girlfriend, leaving her "gasping for air"
According to TMZ, Lil Reese was accused of physically assaulting his former girlfriend while at The Pinkhouse fka Barbie Nightclub in Texas. As per information from the Houston Police Department, the two had ended their relationship a month prior, the woman noted, after having dated for two months. She also claimed that she rejected several of his advances, prompting him to grow "enraged."
She then claimed that the rapper struck her “in the right cheek" and "punched" her. She also claimed that he subsequently choked her. The ex-girlfriend then found herself fearful and "gaping for air."
Security had to step in, and not long after, the cops arrived, and supposedly “observed fingernail scratches and redness along the victim’s throat,” TMZ reported. This was enough grounds for an arrest warrant.

In July, the rapper was hit with allegations in the same vein, leading to his arrest for forcing himself on a woman. The day before, on July 14, he took her back to his hotel after the two went out on a date, per TMZ.
However, on July 15, the rapper took to his Instagram to refute these allegations and even swore on his late sister's life.
"On my sister Ree Ree, the whole story cap and made up. F**k I look like? This ain’t that. I know better and the same way y’all posting that s**t, make sure y’all post [when] the case get thrown out on my court date. They do anything for clout and tryna come up. Try again.”
Boosi Badazz broke the news in an Instagram video, claiming that he saw cops arrest and take Lil Reese to jail.
“He came out handcuffed. They had all his bags, so if any y’all Lil Reese people, y’all need to check on him. They just took him to jail. Some woman… lied on him or some s**t. Any of Reese’s people, the Grim Reaper people, they just took him to jail downtown L.A. and put him in a car. Y’all need to tap in with your people.”
The rapper was let go on a $100,000 bail, jail records reveal.
The All That Haten rapper is currently on the run, with his whereabouts unknown, and the name of his alleged ex-girlfriend remains under wraps.
