The internet was rife with speculation on Sunday, September 22, as Usher's entire X feed simply disappeared. Those chronically online were quick to jump to conclusions, with many tying him in with the recent arrest of his long-time mentor, Sean "Diddy" Combs.

Diddy was arrested on charges of s*x trafficking and racketeering. They also questioned the disappearance of singer P!nk's tweets.

However, the DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love singer returned online to clear the air. He took to X to let everyone know that his account had been hacked. He poked fun at the speculations, tweeting:

"Account got hacked and damn y’all ran with it! [laughing emojis] See you tonight at Intuit Dome."

Fans react to Usher's tweet, claims his actions were dubious

While his posts on X have since reappeared, the internet remained insatiable. Several took to the comments section of his post to question him for the dubious timing. Usher and Diddy have worked together on many occasions, and fans were quick to take that into account.

Others also took notice of the fact that singer P!nk's feed was now empty, save for two posts. "Let me guess, pink account was hacked as well," one user theorized, sarcastically.

"I'm calling complete bullsh*t on that!!" another user responded.
"He's acting like the whole thing is a joke, which tells you it's not," someone noted.

Soon, more and more chimed in to ridicule the artist for his joke and to express their suspicions.

"Yeah, because-- hackers would want to delete evidence..." someone said.
"The timing isn’t suspect at all," yet another claimed.
"Usher thinks we were born yesterday," someone joked.

While Usher has not been named in any of the filings, he was mentioned in a lawsuit brought on by Dawn Richard. Allegedly, he was present during the physical altercations that went down between Combs and his ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura, along with singer Ne-Yo.

Singer P!nk, on the other hand, removed almost all of her tweets, except for two: one from 2016 and the other from 2017. However, she has not been implicated in Diddy's case, and there is no virtual connection between her and Usher or Diddy. Regardless, many online think that both of them deleted their posts due to the latter's indictment.

As per documents attained by Billboard,

"For decades, Sean Combs … abused, threatened and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation and conceal his conduct."

Despite having pleaded not guilty to all charges, he was denied bail on September 17, and is currently serving a stint in jail. If pronounced guilty, he faces a sentence of anywhere between 5 years to life in prison.
