Kim Porter’s father, Jake Porter, has opened up after the arrest of Sean "Diddy" Combs, who was in a relationship with the model for more than a decade, from 1994 to 2007. Kim tragically passed away at the age of 47 in November 2018, leaving behind her son Christian Combs, and twin daughters Jessie and D'Lila.

Jake has felt conflicted about the rapper's shocking arrest. In a Daily Mail report from September 26, 2024, he mentioned that he had seen video footage showing the rapper assaulting his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

Despite being aware of the allegations from the news, he expressed his disgust upon seeing the video of Diddy’s actions toward Cassie Ventura and mentioned that he didn’t have much more to add beyond that.

Jake stated that everyone is considered innocent until proven guilty, but he believed the truth would eventually emerge.

He further raised concerns about the validity of the investigation into his daughter's death, which was determined to have been caused by lobar pneumonia. He dismissed the previous investigation, saying it was:

“A load of c**p.”

Nevertheless, he did not advocate for a new investigation into Kim's death, which was reported to have no allegations of foul play or murder.

Singer Al B. Sure! requested an investigation into Kim Porter’s death following Diddy’s arrest

Jake Porter’s remarks follow musician Al B. Sure!'s call for a renewed investigation into Kim's death in light of Diddy's arrest. The musician shared his views on Instagram on September 23, 2024, writing:

“It has come to my attention that these persons were also instructed to steal her computer and mobile devices, which contained her “original book notes.” Original notes are distinct from the fabricated bullshit and offensive pages circulated via Amazon which depict graphic sexual acts involving me that NEVER took place and were edited and added after Ms. Porter’s tragic murder.”

The post continued:

“I urge you to consider who authorized such a fictitious publication without categorizing it as ‘Calculated Fiction.’”

His post featured screenshots from a book titled Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice from the Other Side by Jamal Millwood, which purportedly contains Porter’s journal entries from her relationship with Diddy. Al B. Sure! asserted that the book raised numerous questions regarding Porter’s death.

He stated that publicists and conspirators collaborated from different groups to launch what seems to be a very personal and intentional distraction from their involvement in covering up horrific crimes. He noted that this situation has confused the public for many years, which he had personally witnessed.

Kim Porter's children called for an end to conspiracy theories about their mother's death after Diddy's arrest

In light of Diddy's arrest and as more women come forward with allegations of abuse against him, there has been growing speculation about whether Porter was also a victim. On September 24, 2024, the rapper's children, Christian, twins Jessie and D'Lila, along with son Quincy, released a joint statement on Instagram.

In their statement, the children defended their father and urged that speculations regarding their mother’s death should stop. They wrote:

“We have seen so many hurtful and false rumors circulating about our parents. Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship, as well as about our mom's tragic passing, that we feel the need to speak out. Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves.”

The post continued:

“We ask that everyone please respect our mother, Kim Porter, and hold her legacy in high regard so that she may rest in peace. It's what she deserves. We love you and miss you, mommy.”

Diddy was arrested on September 16, 2024 in New York and held without bail as officials accused him of a series of serious crimes, including sex trafficking, kidnapping, arson, witness intimidation, obstruction of justice, and racketeering. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges and has strongly denied the allegations.
