Reality television star and mogul Kim Kardashian will soon be taking the stand in the 2016 Paris robbery trial, which is scheduled to begin in May, 2025, as per TMZ.
The incident, which took place in Paris when Kardashian was attending the 2016 Fashion Week in the city, resulted in about $10 million worth of jewelry being stolen. Among the stolen jewelry was a whopping $4 million ring given to Kardashian by her then-husband, rapper Kanye West.
At the time, Kardashian was staying in a luxury apartment, Hôtel de Pourtalès, also known as ‘No Address,’ as per Daily Mail.
According to People Magazine, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s bodyguard, Pascale Duvier was accompanying her sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner on the night of October 3, 2016, leaving Kim Kardashian all alone in her luxury Parisian apartment.
As per the Daily Mail report on the robbery, the suspects entered Kardashian’s room at around 3 am, after having tied up the property’s concierge. The robbers proceeded to hold Kardashian at gunpoint, and then tied her and taped her mouth shut and left her in the bathroom.
After an alleged 49 minutes in the apartment and stealing designer jewelry, the robbers left the property, following which, Kardashian, who had managed to free herself, went to her stylist’s apartment downstairs.

In a 2020 interview with David Letterman for the Netflix show, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman, Kardashian had shared more details about the robbery. She revealed that the robbers entered her room dressed as “policemen with masks on.” She went on to emotionally recount the details of the harrowing incident, saying,
“I handed him my ring, and then he grabs me, and I was wearing a robe, and I wasn't wearing anything under it.”
While trying not to break down, Kardashian told Letterman that she feared she might get assaulted, and tried to mentally prepare herself. She went on to share,
“But then he tied me up with handcuffs, and then zip ties, and then duct tape. And then duct-taped my mouth and my eyes. And before he had my eyes, he had, I saw, I mean, before he duct-taped my eyes, 'cause that was the last thing, he…I saw he found my whole jewelry box, and, like, held it up, like, ‘Aha!’…But I kept on looking at the concierge, 'cause I didn't know who he was. I'm like, ‘What is happening? Are we gonna die?’"
After the ordeal, Kardashian traveled immediately to the US and arrived at her Manhattan apartment, as per USA Today. Kanye West, who was performing at the Meadows Festival in New York at the time, abruptly ended his set and left the stage due to a “family emergency,” according to CNN.
