Kanye West questions the talent of Tyler, The Creator and Kendrick Lamar in latest X post

Kanye West took to X on April 24 to slam Tyler the Creator and Kendrick Lamar's rapping skills. In the tweet, West asked his followers to "name" a good lyric by both artists,

"Name one good Tyler the Creator bar Name an actual Kendrick line Like you really wish you had said that level bar"

He then went on to slam Lamar, saying he "can not rap" and that Lil Wayne got "waaaay more life bars" and called the two artists, "overrated",

"Kendrick doesn't have one bar where I say I wish I said that. Kenrick and Tyler the two most overrated so called artist. Please order more security."

This comes after Kanye West on April 23 night said that the support for Kendrick and SZA's hit song, Luther feels forced, comparing the track with Drake's hit song, Nokia.

"It's love and hate for Drake but man this not real man. Luther is not dethroning Nokia. This some Taylor Swift Beyonce s**t. Wooooooow. They really coming coming for Drizzy huh. I heard the devil asks God for permission before teaching sinners they lesson. Seems like the Devil has been given free reign to go after Drake."

Kanye West says Tyler, the Creator "never made a memorable song"

Kendrick Lamar has a weird dynamic with Tyler, the Creator. The two have worked together on multiple tracks, and have also praised each other publicly over the years. However, Kanye West recently has been critical of the artist.

His recent rant against the artist is not the first time he has taken digs at Tyler. In March, 2025, Kanye West in another X rant posted a throwback picture of Tyler wrapping his arms around Kanye's shoulder, while slamming his music,

"THIS N***A HAS NEVER MADE A MEMORABLE SONG HES LIKE IF AN ARTIST CHECKED EVERY BOX OTHER THAN HAVING ANY GOOD VERSES OR SONGS AND HIS LAST ALBUM RIPPED OFF MY WHOLE LANGUAGE"

The artist's social media behavior has raised eyebrows. West has taken to X to post controversial social media rants, from showing support to Hitler, to openly being antisemitic, while also making comments about his wife, Bianca Censori. His behavior has reportedly led to other artists unfollowing him on social media and many allegedly cutting ties with him including, Frank Ocean, Kid Cudi, Tyler the Creator, Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, Elon Musk, among others.

After a pop culture X account, posted about Lamar unfollowing Kanye in February, 2025, the artist wrote, "GAY" on the comment section.
