YouTuber and online streamer IShowSpeed appears to have some interesting aspirations for his career. On December 13, 2024, while speaking to Jon Youshaei, Speed was asked where he would like to take his live streaming after raising the bar already. The streamer replied:
“One day I want to do a stream in space once I get in contact with Elon Musk. I have so much ideas you know that could really go crazy but I have to get in contact with Elon Musk cause he is the one who you know because I want to do like streams where I am like on the plane and I am still streaming on a plane but Elon Musk has that right now.”
His comments have drawn the attention of social media users after the clip from the interview went viral. One X user wrote:
“Kai vs Speed: the race to space.”
X user noted that IShowSpeed should wait as Kai Cenat was the first to ask for a space stream.
“Imagine seeing Speed in space would be the best stream ever,” a social media user commented.
“Didn’t NASA already stream astronauts in space a bunch of times?” a netizen asked.
“Already Kai asked first...no no he can wait on line,” a person noted.
Netizens said only IShowSpeed and Kai Cenat could make it happen, while others pondered who would go first.
“Nah if he actually gets to stream in space we gotta end the KC > SPEED debate ngl,” an online user remarked.
“If anyone can make that happen it’s these 2 lmao,” a person suggested on X.
“First it was Russia vs US…. Now it’s Speed vs Kai….. WHO WILL GET THERE FIRST?” an internet user opined.
Before IShowSpeed, Kai Cenat asked Elon Musk for help
On November 10, 2024, Kai Cenat shared an X post where he tagged Elon Musk and SpaceX, saying he would like to be the first streamer to ‘Yo Chat’ from space. According to Cenat, only the Tesla owner could help him achieve the goal.
While talking about his aspirations with Jon Youshaei, IShowSpeed shared a similar idea, saying Elon Musk’s Starlink could help him stream on a plane. Although he wanted to take it a notch higher, he said he wanted to stream in every country first.
Youshaei asked how he would choose the countries from where he would like to do stream and he replied:

“I just really, I mean I got to do them all. I got to stream in every country but it’s more of a feeling like once I have that feeling, I am like you know what, I am going to Poland. You know what, let’s go around South America. You know, it’s really just a feeling.”
IShowSpeed also revealed that in 2024, streaming had gained mainstream significance, and he was happy to be a part of it. He also added that streaming had taken over many companies and businesses.
