Drake and PartyNextDoor’s much-awaited collaborative album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U has finally dropped on Valentine’s Day. The album from the OVO duo features 21 tracks, which were teased by Drake recently.
As soon as the songs dropped across all streaming platforms, many content creators and YouTubers also reacted to $$$ 4 U. Popular Twitch streamer and YouTuber Kai Cenat reacted to Drake’s latest project and gave his rating. Cenat called $$$ 4 U a “solid 8,” claiming that the songs on the album seem “tough” on first listen but will grow onto the audience with time.
Kai Cenat said,
“PartyNextDoor-Drake, when it comes to some s** songs and s*** like that, n**** them is the ultimate backcourt duo, no cap n****. These songs are made for love and you being off the liquor and thinking about the shorty and s*** like that. That was their motive. Did they have some skips on this song? Yes. Did they have some hits on this album? Yes.”
The streamer continued,
“If I had to rate the whole album from 1 to 10, first listen, for what it's supposed to be for? If I have to rate this from 1 to 10, for the topics they're aiming for and just the songs in general. I would have to rate this… I am gonna go with a…8 out of 10. Imma give it a solid 8. I was gonna go 7.8… 7.8 might be the best option.”
Kai concluded his reaction video by claiming,
“I think that's fair, due to the fact that these songs on first listen are tough, but, like, you gotta… I'm thinking, like, long-term these gonna be crazy songs, like, the ladies gonna run this s*** up. This album is an album that's gonna grow.”
Besides rating the entire album, Cenat also displayed his love for Gimme a Hug. He called the track a “good combination” of “fast rap with love.” Kai gave a perfect 10 rating to the track and later maintained that it was the best on the album.
Kai Cenat proclaims that the rap battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar was “needed”
Drake didn’t have an ideal start to 2025, as he first faced online trolling for suing UMG. In February, the online trolling escalated further with Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us, a diss track aimed at Drizzy, winning five Grammys. Lamar then performed Not Like Us during his Super Bowl halftime set, which further shifted the support on his side against Drizzy.
The Champagne Papi seemingly addresses his brief rough patch on the track, Raining in Houston,
“I know you always say it's just music, my love / But these guys would die to see me losing, my love / The hate from this year alone is confusing, my love / I can't see things getting much smoother, my love”
Reacting to the song's lyrics, Kai Cenat claimed that the hate resulted from Drizzy’s rap beef with Lamar. Cenat maintained how the audience “needed” that rap battle between K.Dot and 6 God. He said,
“That n**** said, ‘the hate for me this year is confusing, my love.’ This is the most… this n**** been hated crazy this year. God damn that's what happens when you get in a rap battle. S***, I don't know, but we needed that rap battle though, chat. I ain't gonna lie. N**** that s*** makes it so exciting bro. I needed that. N****s needed that.”
Apart from Raining in Houston, Drake also seemingly referenced his supposed beef with Kendrick Lamar and other artists in the industry on Gimme a Hug. He further talked about how many use him for their promotion or personal gain and only want to see his downfall. On the same track, the 6 God seemingly acknowledged 21 Savage’s support through tough times.
