Director John Hamburg is now on board to helm the forthcoming Meet The Parents 4, as per reports at Deadline.
It is the fourth installment of the iconic Meet The Parents film franchise. The last film of this franchise, Meet The Fockers, was released back in 2010.
The OG cast members of the franchise, including Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Blythe Danner, and Teri Polo shall be back to star in Meet The Parents 4 as well.

John Hamburg is now on board Meet The Parents 4 creative team as director
John Hamberg has been brought on board to direct the upcoming installment of the Meet The Parents franchise, Meet The Parents 4.
John Hamberg has had a long association with the particular film franchise, since its beginning. The first installment of the series was released back in 2000, named Meet The Parents. It was a huge success, as it made beyond $330 million globally upon its release.
Meet The Parents starred Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Blythe Danner, Teri Polo, James Rebhorn, Jon Abrahams, and many others. John Hamburg had penned the screenplay of the film, and it was helmed by Jay Roach.
Hamburg also wrote the screenplay of the next two installments of the franchise as well, namely Meet the Fockers 2 (2004) and Little Fockers (2010). Along with that, John Hamberg was also one of the producers of Little Fockers.
The second installment too did well at the box office, earning up to $522 globally. However, its threequel, Little Fockers, earned a collection of up to $310 and did not receive favorable reviews as well.
Derived from the 1992 film Greg Glienna's Meet The Parents, the films of this franchise follow the plot of Greg Focker's relationship with his stern and domineering father-in-law Jack Byrnes.

John Hamburg will not only direct but also produce the film under the Particular Pictures banner, according to Deadline. He will be joined by Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal, who will produce under Tribeca Productions.
The director of the first two installments of the franchise, Jay Roach, shall also produce the film, under the banner of Delirious Media. And lastly, John Lesher and actor Ben Stiller too shall join by Red Hour Films.
John Hamburg is known for directing films and series including Safe Men (1998), Along Came Polly (2004), I Love You, Man (2009), Why Him? (2016), The Unicorn (2019-2021), Me Time (2022).
