Singer and actress, Jennifer Hudson, met with a mishap at the New York Knicks vs Golden State Warriors game on March 5, 2025. She was seated on the front row with her partner, Lonnie Rashid Lynn, aka Common when the ball almost hit her.

As seen in videos circulating across social media platforms, a sports commentator said “Protect Jennifer Hudson” when the mishap happened.

Her glasses almost fell off her face. As seen in the viral clips, the ball did not hit her directly as Common redirected it with his hands. Hudson covered her face in the process. Netizens appreciated Common’s quick response while others pointed out risks. Here are some reactions:
