Jason Momoa almost leaked the first look for Lobo before his publicist stepped in

Jason Momoa has starred as Aquaman, a DC tentpole project. Soon, he will return to this comic universe as Lobo in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon) leads this project as Kara Zor-el. Momoa will join her as the Czarnia-based bounty hunter. While the DC fans must be excited about this project, they do not know what the two stars will look like in the film. Momoa was about to offer an exclusive peek until his publicist stopped him.

It happened during his press tour for A Minecraft Movie, where Jason Momoa joined Jack Black for an interview with Cinemablend. The conversation also led to Momoa's casting in the upcoming DC film. For those who are unaware, his character has chalk-like white skin in the comics. So, in line with this, the interviewer asked,

"Is the white makeup for Lobo all over [the body] or all over the skin you can see."

The interviewer was curious since his character wears a lot of armor in the source material. So, there may not be a need to paint underneath it. Momoa replied,

"Yeah, I'm [fully] covered [in white color.]"

Right after, Momoa reached out for his phone to show a picture of him in this role. His publicist stepped in at just the right moment and stopped it from happening. They said,

"Jason, don't do it".

After this incident, DC co-chief James Gunn shared the video clip on Threads with a comment,

"I just want to profoundly thank Jason’s publicist. 😂"

What do we know about Jason Momoa's role as Lobo so far?

Momoa admits that he has been the character's fan for many years.

"I've had every Lobo comic. He was my favorite. I thought I was going to play Lobo when Zack Snyder called me. Because it was in Batman v Superman. That's the only guy who can [be a villain]."

Momoa also acknowledged that he was in London for the shoot of the upcoming Supergirl movie. The DC fans could have gotten a sneak peek into his character until his publicist stopped him and said,

"It'll be worth the wait"

So, the DC bosses might have planned something bigger to unveil the look of Momoa in this role.
