Ivanka Trump has publicly offered support to her ex sister-in-law Vanessa Trump as she starts a new romance with the golf legend, Tiger Woods. Ivanka’s reaction depicts her closeness to Vanessa, even after Vanessa’s split from Donald Trump Jr.

Tiger Woods officially confirmed his relationship with Vanessa Trump on Instagram on March 23, 2025, by sharing a few words about his love for her. The caption reads:

"Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts."

Ivanka Trump commented below his post that she was happy for Vanessa Trump and Tiger Woods. “So happy for you both!,” she wrote, with two smiley face emojis with hearts, indicating her approval of the relationship.

Before she got divorced from Donald Trump Jr. in 2018, Vanessa Trump played a key role in the Trump family. Ivanka, who has always been vocal about her admiration for Vanessa, once referred to her as "Wonder Woman" for her ability to manage her five children effortlessly.

In a 2016 interview with People, Ivanka praised Vanessa’s parenting skills, stating how she could take care of all five children with equal attention and love.

"My sister-in-law Vanessa is a machine,” she can take all of [my children] and not even notice. She has five children and she’s Wonder Woman to me."

Vanessa Kay Pergolizzi, born in 1977, was raised on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. She graduated from The Dwight School and later went on to study psychology at Marymount College.

As Vanessa Haydon, she worked as a model in the 1990s, signing with the Wilhelmina and later the Next Model Management agencies.

Donald Trump met Vanessa at a fashion show in 2003 and introduced her to his son, Donald Trump Jr. They reconnected months later and started dating. In 2004, Trump Jr. proposed to her with a $100,000 engagement ring.

Vanessa Trump’s split from Donald Trump Jr. was a major turning point in her life. The couple, who had been married for 13 years, had five children together: Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer and Chloe. After their breakup, Vanessa opted for a mostly private life, raising her kids.

So far, President Donald Trump has not said anything about his former daughter-in-law's romance, but he did describe Tiger Woods as 'one of the greatest players ever' in the past. In 2019, Trump presented Woods with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. During the ceremony, he said this about Tiger Woods:

"We are in the presence of a true legend—an extraordinary athlete who has transformed golf and achieved new levels of dominance. He's also a great person."
