2Pac’s (Tupac) brother Mopreme Shakur opened up about Diddy's connection to his brother's fatal murder during an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored on October 12, 2024. 2Pac's death in 1996 had a lot of questions unanswered as many have alleged that his death might have mysterious connections with Combs.

After 2Pac’s death and following a controversial Los Angeles Times article from 2008, Diddy called Mopreme Shakur and said he had nothing to do with the rapper’s murder to which Mopreme replied that the truth was yet to come out.

When Piers Morgon asked whether he felt Combs was lying or not, Mopreme replied,

“Quite possibly and it’s kinda looking that way in my opinion.”

Diddy has consistently denied any involvement in 2Pac's death over the years. He has never been arrested or charged in relation to the case, and law enforcement sources have confirmed that he had never been considered a suspect.

However, when Morgon tried to clarify that Mopreme Shakur had expressed suspicion that Diddy might have been involved in his brother's death, he said he had never definitively claimed this, emphasizing that the situation needed further investigation.

He acknowledged that many people had suspicions regarding various individuals connected to the attacks, both of which involved multiple parties. Mopreme Shakur was cautious about ruling out Diddy’s involvement, noting that he couldn’t be certain and pointing out that theories implicating Combs were prominent among the speculations surrounding the case.

Mopreme Shakur claimed that Diddy’s involvement in his brother’s murder could be because of 2Pac’s fame

When Morgan asked Mopreme Shakur why there was so much suspicion surrounding Diddy's involvement in 2Pac's death, Mopreme explained that it stemmed from the early relationship between them, how that relationship eventually deteriorated, and the tense atmosphere within the hip-hop world at the time. He also added,

“There is a whole lot of reasons and you know us, my brother and I, our movement we had the top of the game and they were right behind us. So, you know heavy is the head that wears the crown. People always want to are after the person that’s on top. So, there is a lot of reasons to have these theories and suspicions and they just need to be vetted and fully vetted and figure out what’s what.”

Mopreme Shakur reflected on the lasting impact his brother 2Pac's demise had on his family, expressing how they continued to suffer in the aftermath of his death. He noted that the pain affected him, his sister, and his brothers, and felt that few people showed concern for their ongoing struggles.

He also recalled being able to visit 2Pac in the hospital before he passed away, describing how many loved ones gathered and set up security around the hospital. Though he had to return home to care for his newborn daughter, he believed his brother would recover, given his strength. However, by the time Mopreme returned to Los Angeles, 2Pac had already passed away.

Mopreme shared how his brother, despite being heavily bandaged and unable to speak due to tubes, was still trying to communicate something important in his final moments, shaking the bed as if he desperately wanted to express something.
