It’s a race against time in the new Until Dawn trailer

There's death, and then there's life in the film adaptation of Until Dawn, whose trailer dropped recently. For those who haven't played the video game, players need to survive, as the game says, until dawn.

The film is essentially the same. In the film, all the characters find themselves in a race against time, where they die multiple deaths if they fail to make it until the sun rises and are reincarnated again to face a new threat.

Peter Storemare, who appears as The Replacer in Call of Duty, is in the trailer too. He is the first person in it whom Ella Rubin (Clover) inquires about her missing sister. Blair Butler and Gary Dauberman are the writers, while Gary Dauberman directed the film, which is set to release on April 25, 2025.

A range of gruesome entities awaits there, Until Dawn

Peter Stormare, who portrays Hill in Until Dawn, warns Clover in the very beginning that people get into trouble up the road. We can see here entering a space where rain is pouring down, which sort of looks like a boundary, likely the beginning of trouble.

The group with which she is traveling to find her sister enters a house and finds an hourglass. They then find a register with multiple signatures of her sister and slowly realize that something is wrong here as they find photos of people with "Missing" tags on them, and one of their friends, Megan (Ji-young Yoo), goes missing in the house.

Megan is seen in what appears to be a closet and is found by the first entity, which is a man wearing a mask, who then hurts her and then others. Everyone's dead and is reincarnated again, which will be the theme of the film.

A new entity will appear to kill all of them every time they are reincarnated. The problem is that they don't remember what happened the last time, so they cannot devise a plan for it. Every day, or shall we say, night, is new for them.

All of them later find their photos alongside the batch they encountered earlier, with a Missing tag. Until Dawn trailer ends with one Blair Witch-like entity as all scream their hearts out.

Head of PlayStation Productions Asad Qizilbash announced in January last year that the filming of Until Dawn has begun, where principal photography is said to be done in Budapest. While Screen Gems, PlayStation Productions, Vertigo Entertainment, Coin Operated, and Mangata are producing it, Sony Pictures Releasing will distribute it.
