Jonathan Majors, 35, has been making the headlines recently for assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. According to a Rolling Stone report, the actor has accepted in an audio recording that he slammed his ex-partner into a car. Later, he strangled her by pulling her into a house.

In a recent conversation with Generation Iron Fitness & Bodybuilding Network, he emphasized how the news of his past actions and ruthless behaviors affected his potential to get nominated for the Oscars for his performance in Magazine Dreams.

During the chat, Jonathan Majors pointed out,

"And I can tell you right now, it's not gonna happen. You know what I mean? They are not gonna do it. You know what I mean?"

Despite getting praised for his portrayal of Killian Maddox in his new movie, he is certain that his personal life and domestic violence conviction destroyed any chances of the prestigious award.

Jonathan Majors responded, saying,

"I don't really think about it. Why? I just got other things to think about, you know? And I've got people on my team that can think about those things if if they present themselves, you know?"

He further continued,

"Like, let's just let's be honest about it. Right? Like, again, we told the viewers we're all buddies here. Right? So, like, let's be honest. Right? The s**t I went through, the way that I hit the press, the way I was dragged, the things I've things I've had to deal with and heal from and and all that, that's that's completely that's it's a wrap. You know what I mean? Like like, I appreciate the hustle. I appreciate the love."

He also chimed in and mentioned that, as a part of the academy, he was sure that the anticipated achievement wouldn't be a reality.

Magazine Dreams was released on March 21, 2025. Jonathan's role as an aspiring bodybuilder received accolades from fans and critics. Despite people praising the film, it faced a lot of controversies because of Majors' legal troubles.
