With little to no control, the Palisades Fire and three additional fires in Los Angeles County have burned over 27,000 acres of land. Low humidity, dry vegetation, and powerful gusts of up to 80 mph all contribute to the flames. Firefighters and other emergency workers have been sent in by authorities to guard homes and evacuate inhabitants.

There have also been evacuations in nearby communities including Brentwood, Topanga, and Malibu. Jamie Lee Curtis, Harrison Ford, and Mark Hamill are among the well-known people who have been compelled to leave their houses.
