WWE enthusiasts and fans of John Cena get to see another side of the renowned wrestler and actor on Monday Night Raw in Brussels, Belgium. The multiple-time world champion—sixteen, to be exact—has always been one of the most popular and idolized figures in the WWE universe. However, fans were shocked to witness his heel turn at the Elimination Chamber.
Now, for those who don't know what a heel turn is. Well, when it comes to professional wrestling, wrestlers are often divided into two groups - the good fellows and the bad fellows, or the villains. The good folks are known as faces, whereas the villains are called the heels. And a turn pretty much means when a fighter switches their side from being a heel to a face, or vice versa.
Dwayne Johnson, commonly known by his ring name, The Rock, like several other wrestlers, has turned heel numerous times throughout his WWE career spanning almost thirty years. Having said that, this time, it was none other than John Cena, who turned heel and joined his long-time rival The Rock, and turned his back on Cody Rhodes.

People were not expecting such a twist, especially John Cena's fans, who are extremely shocked as Cena has always been one of the good folks. After becoming one of the bad guys of WWE, Cena met with a lot of disapproval and criticism and was also booed. In between the continuous barrage of boos, Cena decided to address his fans and went ahead to rant against them.
John Cena said:
"For 25 years, I have been the victim of an abusive relationship. All I did was work hard and win. And what did I get for it? I got hate. It was never enough for you. I tried to retire with one final run, but you ruined it. You never stop asking, ‘What do we get?’ Not one of you sons of b*tches ever asked me how I feel."
The 47-year-old John Cena, who announced his retirement in July 2024, is on a year-long farewell tour. However, after he took out all the frustration on his fans and turned heel. He did not stop there, as he cleared it up that he would no longer be at the mercy of his fans as well as the WWE universe. He mentioned that he no longer cares about his fans. He does not need them, nor do they matter to him anymore.
