During a March 16 episode of The Baldwins, Hilaria Baldwin revealed that she used a particular strategy to avoid media eyes after her husband Alec Baldwin was charged with involuntary manslaughter. Baldwin's case was dismissed in July 2024.
Hilaria dressed up in a "ridiculous" outfit to distract the paparazzi, while her husband ran to the car. The American entrepreneur mentioned that she did this to protect her husband from getting approached by the paps. She wore fishnet stockings, paired with a mini skirt and metallic jacket,
"Alec needed to try to get in the car and to try to protect him, I went inside, put on a ridiculous outfit and went back inside. I mean the fact that they didn't realize that I was messing with them is extraordinary."
Hilaria recalled the incident and went into detail saying,
"I put my back to the corner so their back was to the apartment, and then we had a car pull up. Alec goes into the car (and) drives off. Then, I walked right back to the house."
She said that the incident got people calling her an "attention seeker" since they didn't know she did it to take care of her husband and kids. The photo influenced headlines that read, "Brrr! Hilaria Baldwin Nails Mob Wife Aesthetic in Freezing Temps!"
In October 2021 while filming Rust, lead actor and producer Alec Baldwin held a prop gun that fired a live bullet, ultimately killing the movie's cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. While armorer Hannah Gutierrez, who loaded the gun on the day was convicted and sentenced to 18 months in prison, Alex's case was dismissed in July 2024.
