The legal battle between It Ends With Us stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is a part of a new documentary. Titled He Said, She Said: Blake Lively vs Justin Baldoni, ITN Productions is bringing this case to the screen. It will take a deep dive into the case between the two actors, which has been in the media for the last few months. This doc special will reveal further nuances.

Per Deadline, a shorter version of this doc special, In Dispute, will soon air tonight on 5 (formerly known as Channel 5) in the UK. Later, it will air on Investigation Discovery on March 31 in the US. It will also be available to stream on Discovery+ and Max.

ITN Productions (ITNP) is executive producing this project with Bruce Kennedy in New York and Mike Griffiths in London. ITN Post is handling its post-production.

While speaking about this fast-turnaround doc, Ian Russell from ITNP International said,

“Produced by ITN’s transatlantic team this special is a timely and in-depth telling of the Hollywood story which has captured the global zeitgeist.”

Denise Seneviratne from 5 further said,

“This story has captivated the world, perpetuated by social media which is still gaining momentum. It feels really pertinent for us as a channel to be making this film within the context of #MeToo.”

He Said, She Said: A new documentary will shed light on the legal case between It Ends With Us stars

Justin Baldoni adapted Colleen Hoover's 2016 novel It Ends with Us, which revolves around the themes of domestic violence and emotional abuse. Baldoni also directed and co-starred in the film with Blake Lively. He played Ryle Kincaid while Lively played Lily Bloom. It Ends With Us was released in theaters on August 2024. It received less than favorable reviews from the critics. However, it went on to become a box-office success.

A few months later, Lively filed a legal complaint against Baldoni, which alleged that he engaged in sexual misconduct during the film's shoot. The complaint also accused him of a smear campaign against her to keep her quiet.

Baldoni has refused these allegations and has since accused her of defamation. He filed a $400m countersuit for the same reason.

The trial for this case is set for March 2026. Before that, the documentary special will reportedly follow both sides of this case in the public limelight.
