Wyatt Russell bagged the lead role in Broke. The makers recently dropped the official trailer, which runs for one minute and 43 seconds. It shows Wyatt playing a rodeo cowboy who has to survive a blizzard. Looking at the trailer of the film, one can get the impression that Wyatt fits the part of a rodeo. His performance and the overall film might be crucial in reviving the Western genre in Hollywood. Wyatt is the son of actor Kurt Russell and has been active in the industry since a young age.

The film was produced by Wyatt, Vince Vaughn, Peter Billingsley, Jack Hearst, Paris Kassidokostas-Latsis, Terry Dougas, Victoria Vaughn, John Stalberg Jr., and David Frigerio. Besides Wyatt, the film also stars several other interesting actors. Here's a list:

  • Dennis Quaid
  • Tom Skerritt
  • Auden Thornton
  • Johnny Berchtold
  • Mary McDonnell
  • Jackie Vetter as Marie
  • Gillian Todd as Lacy
  • John Budge

As per People magazine, Wyatt spoke about showing the dark side of rodeo in the film:

"We're so used to seeing the bright side of rodeo and the bravado of the facade that it's presented in, but we never get to see the darker side of what it can be as well. Sometimes you can hang on a little too long, and like any aspect of life, it's no different in a bronc rider's life. I’m excited for audiences to connect with this film and beyond grateful that it’s finally being able to be shared with viewers everywhere."

He further added:

"couldn't be more excited to share with audiences what was a true labor of love."

The actor said that the film's team is excited to "bring rodeo culture to screen in its authentic form and the deep-seated place it has in American life."

Broke will be released on May 6, 2025, by VOD.
