Is Rob Schneider a Trump supporter? Actor seemingly mocks Disney’s “wokeness” while criticizing Snow White’s theatre performance

Rob Schneider has joined the list of people criticizing Disney’s latest live-action remake, Snow White.

The 61-year-old comedian recently posted on X, highlighting the poor performance of the film, and targeting the mass media giant as well. He called out Disney for its alleged “wokeness”, writing:

“I would like to sincerely thank @DisneyStudios for single handedly ending Wokeness in Hollywood.”

Schneider further wrote:

“I wish all the executives who participated in Disney’s new Live Action “Snow White” the best of luck in their new jobs outside of Show Business…”

Many conservatives, including the Donald Trump supporters, are slamming Snow White and Disney. Rob Schneider is one of the people who favored Trump over Kamala Harris last year.

The Grown Ups actor was initially a supporter of independent candidate RFK Jr. After Kennedy dropped out of the race, Schneider endorsed Trump and urged others to do the same. He wrote:

“Robert Kennedy Jr. supporting President Trump is plainly this: A REJECTION OF THE AUTHORITARIAN AND SERIAL UNDEMOCRATIC ACTIONS OF THE DEMOCRAT MACHINE."

The statement continued:

"As a fellow American Citizen and Robert Kennedy Jr. supporter, I hope that you will OPPOSE TYRANNY and join us and VOTE FOR DONALD J. TRUMP FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!”

Rob Schneider switched from a Democrat to a Republican in 2013 but later turned independent

The Hubie Halloween actor was a Democratic Party supporter for years until 2013 when he started favoring the GOP. Schneider announced his decision to The Blaze, saying:

“The state of California is a mess, and the super majority of Democrats is not working. I’ve been a lifelong Democrat and I have to switch over because it no longer serves the people of this great state. The last time I made a movie was seven years ago and that’s because we’re not being competitive.”

The following year, Rob Schneider endorsed GOP candidate Tim Donnelly in the California gubernatorial election. A couple of years later, the actor-comedian again changed his stance and turned independent. He told Larry King in 2017:

“I am an independent, but yeah [on switching from Democrat to Republican] I am definitely more conservative now. Yeah, I think I am against any form of taking away people’s rights.”

Rob Schneider further proclaimed that a “constriction of freedom” is coming from the “left” instead of the conservatives.

Snow White seemingly underperforms despite topping the box office domestically

The new Disney release has grossed around $43 million during its opening weekend, outperforming other films. Despite maintaining the top spot, Snow White has seemingly been underperforming, based on initial projections of a $45 million to $55 million opening.

The critical reception of the latest Disney live-action remake hasn’t been ideal either. On Rotten Tomatoes, Snow White has managed to get 44% positive reviews from the critics. At the same time, the film received a 50/100 Metascore on Metacritic.

Some users on social media have also pointed out the empty theatres amidst the underwhelming response from the audience. After more than 48K ratings, Snow White’s average on IMDb has fallen to 2.1/10 as of this writing, with backlash against Rachel Zegler seemingly being one of the reasons.

The West Side Story actress has been on the radar of conservative audiences since she criticized the original film in 2022. Last year, after Trump’s re-election, Zegler received backlash for her anti-Trump comments. The actress had to apologize for targeting the president-elect (now president) in November.
