Rihanna revealed to the world via Instagram on Monday, November 4, that she won't be voting for Kamala Harris-- and not because she doesn't want to.

The global superstar uploaded a clip, wherein she joked about “sneaking into the polls” with her son's credentials because she can't.

RiRi, who shares two sons, RZA and Riot with boyfriend A$AP Rocky, captioned her video, where she can be seen gazing out of the car window while her curly tresses blew about:

"POV: me trying to sneak into the polls with my son’s passport #votecauseicant."

Her post caption, which ostensibly referred to Vice President Harris and former President Barack Obama's infamous tan suits, read:

"when protecting p—ies and firing p—ies can happen all in one vote #votecauseicant #TanSuitSeason."

Here's why Rihanna can't vote

Rihanna was born in Saint Michael, Barbados, and grew up in the capital, Bridgetown. While she relocated to the States to kick start her career in 2005, she remains, to this day, a citizen of the island nation.

Regardless, with each election cycle, the Lift Me Up singer has been vocal about her political inclinations. Such as when in 2018, RiRi reposted Shaun King's list of states that permitted same-day voter registration. Her caption read:

"It's ELECTION DAY America!!! The most important day for the rest of your lives... all you have is right now! TODAY!! If you're tired of complaining about the state of the country and government, get up and do something about it!!! #VOTE ... simple!!! You have no excuse, and If you live in any of these states it’s not too late to register today!! C’mon man, LETS GO!!!!! 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿.”

When one fan asked her about her citizenship, she had no qualms in clapping back:

"I'm an immigrant tryna get yo country together. Did you vote?"

Rihanna is one among the scores of celebrities who have backed up the Democratic ticket this election season, and that includes Beyonce, Taylor Swift, George Clooney, Jennifer Lopez, and Cardi B, among others.

Since she started her presidential campaign in July, Madam Vice President Kamala Harris has clocked in with over 200 celebrity endorsements. In the meantime, the nation will have to wait and watch whether these efforts come to fruition or are left futile, and it looks like only time will tell.
