Mikey Madison, who won the Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in Anora at the recent Academy Awards, is now the subject of public interest, particularly regarding her personal life, family, and past relationships.

The 25-year-old actress is renowned for her roles in the Scream franchise, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and Lady in the Lake, among others. Speaking with the Los Angeles Times in December, she revealed that in the wake of her movie, Anora's success, some of her old flames have reached out to her.

“I think some of it doesn’t seem super genuine. Like old friends coming out of the woodwork. Ex-boyfriends reaching out to me, ‘Hey, wanna grab a coffee or something.’ Why? Because you’ve seen me on billboards?” she said.

As for whom she's dating right now, the actress is currently single. Not much is known about her romantic life, seeing as she likes to keep it out of the spotlight. In her personal life, she has a twin brother named Miles, as well as another brother and two sisters. During a recent interview with W, Mikey Madison spoke of how she and her brother would pretend they weren't related growing up:

“He would pretend that we weren’t siblings,” she explained to W Magazine. “On the last day of school, people would ask him, ‘Miles, why are you getting into Mikaela’s car?’ He’d say, ‘Oh, that’s my sister.’ He’s since apologized. At some point, I grew into myself a bit more. But for a long time, I was the weird horse girl.”

In a recent interview, Mikey Madison reflected on why she likes to keep her private life private:

“It’s just not something that feels authentic or natural to me, and I don’t think I would have anything very impactful to add to social media,” she told Bustle. “I’m a very sensitive person, so I think it’s also protective to not be online. I don’t think you’re supposed to be reading the things people are saying about you. I think that that’s not natural, and it’s not human to be looking at all of these very curated images. I have lots of thoughts about it, but I don’t think I’ve ever put it into words before. Born in Los Angeles and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Mikey Madison made her feature film debut in Liza, Liza, Skies Are Grey, which came out in 2017. By 2016, she had bagged the role of Pamela Adlon’s teen daughter in the series Better Things, where she stayed until the series came to an end in 2022.

She starred in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 hit, Once Upon a Time . . . in Hollywood, then joined the Scream franchise in 2022. Most recently, she appeared in the 2024 TV miniseries Lady in the Lake.

As for her role in Anora, she revealed that she had to learn how to pole dance and get familiar with Russian, as reported by The New York Post.

“I’ve made friends who are dancers,” Madison said of preparing for the role. “I wanted every aspect of Ani’s career and what she does to be realistic—but also, that’s not her entire life; that’s just her job.”

Reflecting on how it felt to play an exotic dancer named Ani, Mikey Madison told Vanity Fair in November:

“I feel very different personally and physically to her in every way but I related to her hopefulness a little bit. It felt like I was constantly exerting so much energy to get to the places that she was in.”

Mikey Madison told Dazed that she won’t be rushing into her next project anytime soon.

"I think that I’m being very thoughtful about the next job I choose for many different reasons,” she explained, adding that she now knows who she is as "an actor and an artist."

"I know how I want to feel making a movie. I’ve been lucky to have every job that I’ve had, but I want to feel—even just a little bit—the way I felt making Sean’s movie on my next. So it’s important for me to be in love with the character. It’s an emotional job that I’m doing, and so I’m waiting for something that really speaks to me. That’s what I’ve been thinking about, and right now I’m still waiting for that.”
