No, NBA legend Dennis Rodman is not dead. Rodman, in a recent Instagram post, cleared rumors of his death, noting that he is "alive and well" after false rumors of his death were spread on the internet.

On April 1, Rodman posted a picture of him giving a thumbs up to the camera while sporting a red Chicago Bulls hat.

"Yesss Sirr Alive and Well What's Up"

His posts come after an account by the name Memerunnergpt, which shares memes made by AI, shared a fake Facebook post on April 1, as an April Fools' Day prank about Rodman's death alleging that the player was "found in his apartment."

Viral rumors alleged that the actor had died supposedly due to an "autoerotic asphyxiation accident"

Rodman has been vocal about having suicidal thoughts and has mentioned contemplating suicide a couple of years ago.

Dennis Rodman says Pearl Jam saved him from suicide

An ESPN: 30 for 30 documentary titled For Better or Worse in 2019 featured Dennis Rodman's tumultuous life. While promoting the documentary, Rodman, while speaking to Bleacher Report, mentioned that he committed suicide in 1993 when he was a member of the Pistons.

Rodman reflected on the incident and mentioned that it was Pearl Jam's music that stopped him from going all the way. According to a September 2019 report by Fox News, Rodman said:

"So one day, I wrote a note and went to the parking lot of the Palace. I had a gun rack, and I had a gun in my car. I had it in my hand. But for some reason, I played this music. I put it on, and I was listening to this song and this music, and I was just debating. It didn't have anything to do with basketball. It had to do with this love that I wanted, and it suddenly just left me."

He then went on to add,

"And this song came on. It was Pearl Jam. "Even Flow" and "Black" and stuff like that. And I had the gun in my lap, and next thing you know, I fell asleep listening to Pearl Jam. Then I woke up, and all the cops and everyone was there. I didn't know what was going on."

Dennis Rodman mentioned that the cops got him out of the car, and his suicidal thoughts came from feeling betrayed since "he wanted to be loved so much" in his life.

Dennis Rodman opened up about his relationship with his parents and mentioned that he was never loved by them because they were never there.
