Elon Musk is well-known for being active on X and sharing his opinions on various topics. However, this time, the SpaceX CEO posted something humorous while again announcing his love for Diet Coke.

In one of his recent X posts, Musk shared a picture of his nightstand table where six emptied cans of Diet Coke are seen placed. Penning a light-hearted joke, the Tesla CEO wrote,

I have a drinking problem.”

Highlighting the number of aluminum cans he has been using, Musk reflected upon switching to the glass bottles of Diet Coke, as he further added in a reply,

“Clearly, I need to switch to glass bottle DC.”

After Elon Musk’s post went viral, netizens were quick to respond. One even asked the billionaire businessman whether the Coca-Cola company is next on his list of potential “acquisition” targets,

“Geezus, LOL! Is Coca-Cola your next acquisition target?”

Musk received a plethora of responses on X, and here are some of them:

In response to Elon Musk’s “drinking problem,” a section of users highlighted the harmful impacts of the beverage. Check out the replies as follows:

“Please stop drinking Diet Coke. The artificial sweetener makes you release insulin. The carbohydrates never come. The insulin is still in your blood, telling your body to store fat. Drink unsweetened iced tea with a squeeze of organic fruit,” a user asked Musk to switch to healthier alternatives.
“RFK needs to help you work on your food and drink choices. You are too important to the world to drink that poison. Besides, you are helping big food hurt people by supporting their awful products. People admire you and will copy you,” another one asked the Tesla CEO to seek RFK Jr.’s guidance.
“@bryan_johnson you gotta become Elon’s dietician,” someone even tagged American entrepreneur Bryan Johnson to help Musk.
“Ah Diet Coke. I think they put a drug in it that addicts us,” another one shared their suspicion.
“Fixed it,” a user posted an altered image changing Diet Coke with Ketamine HCl injection.

There were some humorous replies as well,

“I’ve been Diet Coke free for 9 days!,” a user wisecracked.
“you better hope RFK doesn’t see this,” another user added.
“Don’t make him do it!” someone posted an AI image of RJK Jr.
“The president has something to say about this,” a user referenced one of Donald Trump’s older posts.

Among all the replies, a post stood out, which gave a callback to Elon Musk’s post from 2022, where he wrote about acquiring Coca-Cola “to put the C**aine back in.” Posting a screenshot of Musk’s tweet, the user wrote,

“We’re still waiting for this.”

For the uninitiated, Musk’s love for Diet Coke is not new-found. He has time and again mentioned his affection for the beverage. According to Inc., the billionaire drank as many as eight cans daily in 2007.

Apart from that, Musk once called Diet Coke “amazing,” while specifically mentioning the “soda fountain version” of the beverage. On a different occasion, he even declared the creator of Diet Coke a “real genius.”

Elon Musk has also acknowledged the shortcomings of drinking the beverage in excess. However, he even mentioned how he doesn’t care “if drinking gallons of it shaves a bit of life off,” while calling Diet Coke and Coke Zero “worth it.”
