The former Disney star, Christy Carlson Romano, who was hospitalized after being shot, is now being accused of being an alleged Trump supporter. The incident has sparked online speculation about her political beliefs, with many fans questioning her stance amidst the turbulent political scenario in the US.
The incident occurred on February 7 while Romano was visiting a shooting range to celebrate her husband's birthday, leaving her with multiple injuries, including severe damage to her right eye, as well as wounds in other areas of her face.
On Saturday, the actress took to Instagram to share more about her ordeal:
"I was hit in 5 places, one was less than an inch from hitting me directly in my right eye. Unfortunately a fragment got lodged behind my eye and it is too risky to remove surgically at this time." she shared in the caption.
The actress further commented that the accident resulted from the unsafe and reckless actions of another party:
"There was another party with us and they unsafely fired in the wrong direction and shot me in the face."
The actress has received overwhelming support from her husband, family and fans. Her husband, Brendan Rooney, also posted a sweet and touching message on his Instagram to show his support.
Friday's accident has left Romano deeply grateful, but facing a long road to complete recovery. However, she is now facing intense scrutiny over rumors of her being an alleged Trump supporter, which was in turn sparked by her decision to visit and practice at a shooting range.

"I am very grateful for the loving and sweet messages. Not so grateful for a few "a few" silly little ignorant ones. Um, I would always hope that people could see that this is not some plot for attention, that I just got shot in the face and chose to share about it."the actress added through her Instagram story.
