TikTok star Chris Olsen is one of the many social media stars who have made headlines based on his online presence, celebrity partnerships, and rumors about who he is dating or working with.
His many appearances with pop artist Meghan Trainor have some people wondering if they are related to one another. Amidst the doubt, Olsen has also responded to ex-boyfriend Patrick Johnson’s recent allegation that he’s not a real fan of Taylor Swift.
Chris Olsen and Meghan Trainor are not biologically related. The two first crossed paths in April 2022 when Olsen was a guest on Trainor’s podcast. Their instant chemistry blossomed into a real-life friendship, and soon they were collaborating on TikTok together regularly.
The duo even jokingly impersonated childhood best friends online by sharing photoshopped pictures of them together. Meghan even hired Chris to assist her in producing her TikTok videos, and the pair is adamant that there is a real friendship between them beyond the professional relationship.
"I think regardless of if we ever had the conversation of working together, we still would be hanging out the way that we do," Chris said in an interview with E! News.
Olsen has had to recently defend his name after his ex-boyfriend, Patrick Johnson, accused him of being a fake fan of Taylor Swift. In a now-deleted TikTok, Johnson accused Olsen of being a “fake Swiftie” before sharing a story about when they went to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour together in Argentina.
"Just to kind of, like, put in perspective how horrible my ex was, we’d gone to the Taylor Swift Argentina show and we had left before the first time that Taylor had said, ‘Karma is the guy on the Chiefs," Johnson said.
Patrick Johnson claimed Chris Olsen wasn’t excited about Taylor Swift’s famous lyric change about Travis Kelce and called him out for pretending to be a fan for a few social media likes.
Chris Olsen’s response to Patrick Johnson’s claims and more about his love life
Chris Olsen’s reply was a cryptic TikTok set to Miley Cyrus’ “Nobody’s Perfect” from Hannah Montana.
Olsen posted a video of him lip-syncing the lyrics “Everybody makes mistakes” from the track, placing his hands on his hips in defiant fashion. Captioning the post, he wrote: “Hannah’s been really speaking to me lately xx.”
Beyond the Swiftie drama, Olsen’s personal life has taken several new turns. According to Entertainment Tonight, he triggered dating rumors after sharing snaps with Ryan Trainor, the brother of Meghan Trainor, on a 2023 trip to Australia. The images supposedly depicted the two bungee jumping and sharing hugs and kisses.
Recently, Chris Olsen also spoke openly about another controversy involving a nude photo leak. He appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast in September 2024, where he stated that a previous photoshoot he’d taken in his late teens had been handled poorly.
